Kula London - Covent Garden Maiden Lane

Very clean, great location, easy access and very comfortable. Shower had great pressure, despite the flat being on the third floor. We didn’t realise there was a lift until day 2 of the stay, but glad we discovered it! We loved that we could bring our dogs.

Kitchen did not have kitchen towels (tissues) or a cloth to wipe the table and counters but this is very minor and the only negative thing I can say!

Door lock did not work. Set off the alarm twice. In the end the property manager came down from upstairs and let us in. Had to reset the lock.

The fact that the two bedroom doors did not shut and the toilet seat, even though they tightened once, still didn't stay on properly.

Location was excellent.

1) When I booked the facility, I booked a check-in time of 11am, and I booked portable A/C units. When I checked in the day before, neither of these options were available. I had booked transit from Southampton to London with the timeframe of the check-in that I was allowed to book at the time of booking. As a result, we wound up in the streets with 4 large suitcases and nowhere to go. Additionally, I would not have booked the property if the A/C units were not offered, so this was a big disappointment and felt like a "bait and switch." 2) The windows had locks on them to prevent them from being opened too wide, which I assume was for safety. However, the two largest ones (kitchen and primary bedroom), the locks were broken, allowing waist-high windows to open completely. This felt very unsafe for children. Conversely, the ones that opened in the living area could only be opened a crack, and the glass sliding windows made it so that ventilation was poor. This made the unit quite warm. The lone fan in the unit was very poor.
