Not worth the money

We needed something last minute for new year, it was nee decor but not clean.

Broken microwave, huge stain on both sides of the sofa, crumbs in cooker, no cold water in bathroom tap, unable to get into private drive. No help offered regarding micro or stain, uncomfortable beds, sofa not a sofa couch, far to many things and at the price we paid really really bad. Terrible towels and not enough, I could carry on...

Ok, not value for money at all- parking challenges, room views not ideal

inside is very nice, but kitchen and bathroom tired

reversing up the street to get into parking slot took 30 minutes and not fun views from rooms not nice for the money we paid kitchen very tired shower room/VC very limited

Won't be booking again as didnt meet our needs Nice Chinese in town.

I liked the layout of the property being all on 1 level as this was needed as I have had a knee replacement and my mother is 88 years old and can't do stairs or walk far due to critical heart failure. We also loved the plug in night lights again great for my mum when getting up in the night for the bathroom. Kitchen was well equipped and a nice welcome box of shortbread and 2 cans of cocktails nice gesture. Decor of whole of the apartment was lovely and clean (except shower) and wooden flooring was a little slippy under foot in slippers.

Wasn't happy to discover the property does not have its own private driveway that is accessible even though it states it does. This was a major problem for us and would not have booked to stay here if we had known the truth. We never managed to use the driveway the whole of our stay and instead my partner had to leave the car in the next street and on road parking so not even secure at night and meant he had to drop us off at apartment then go and find a car parking space everytime we left and returned to the property. Hosts answer to this was to honk our horn and wait for a neighbour to come out and move their parked car in the way they had tried to train them to park to allow guests onto the driveway. Didn't fancy doing that as might have found my car damaged if we upset them. I cant believe apart from us only 1 other visiitor had experienced this in 2 years as my partner does driving for a living and can get in many a tight space and this was no way happening and our car is a standard size Corsa so not like it was a big range rover etc. Also dinning room chairs very uncomfortable so couldn't eat meal at table. Then when we used the shower we discovered the water wouldn't drain away and when lifting the water trap out of shower base it smelt like a sewers as was blocked and full of hair and scum which was totally unacceptable especially when we had been told we needed to exit apartment no later than 10am as cleaner had a tight turnaround and would be arriving at 10.05 am. We left shower water trap out so she/ he could see it needed a good clean as haven't a clue when it was last done. Took photos if you would like to see.

The owner was not responding when I needed also lack of hairdryer which was very important for me and all the ladies and the response I received from the owner was very disappointing! We arrived home at @10 pm and I took a shower and just looked for the hairdryer but couldn't find any I have long purple colour hair and I didn't know what can I do. I wanted to sleep but my hair was wet also couldn't sleep because afraid my hair colour would be make a purple stain on the pillows sent a msg to the owner no reply! And the day after after two times msg received a disappointed response. No privacy at the flat because surrounded by neighbours who were looking at you when you were in the sitting room or bedroom so I had to close the curtains and it made the rooms very dark and also was very warm without a fan! Parking was another issue because there was very small room to go in and the neighbour's car was parked there my husband went through a very difficult. The neighbour who living up in the flat was very noisy and till the mid night they were walking and moving things and we couldn't sleep. The property was very clean and well-decorated and if those problems are solved will be great.
