Loved the log fire and wood burning hot tub
Only thing I could possibly say as a negative is the toilet shower situation. I still liked the shower and I don’t see where it is as a big problem

Location was nice and the hot tub is good

Such an absolute gem of a place, the room is cosy and really well decorated. There are plenty of cosy blankets and it was lovely with the log burner on too. Nice little touches like the coffee machine and milk & water in the fridge (and hairdryer which was super handy!) The owners are absolutely lovely, and friendly, they made sure we had plenty of wood for both the indoor log burner and hot tub log burner too. The site itself is stunning with lovely views, its tranquil and peaceful, and it all felt very homely. Directions to get there, provided by the host were very clear and spot on! The bed was also super comfy - we thought we may get cold during the night (with it being winter) but we were toasty and very happy. 100% recommend this place! 😃
Nothing - everything was great!

Paid £30 to heat the hot tub up but yet the room was freezing on arrival it is literally an outside barn not converted or anything it was freezing with no heating then there was no shower to use unless you went outside to use there outside toilet they called it a wet room cause it had a shower head on the wall. If I paid 60 pound I’d of thought it was ok but 190 seems a tad overpriced. The fire was lit after arrival and took ages to heat the room. It was very unpleasant. You have to walk around to by the main house to use the toilet. Not good in the middle of the night.

My partner and I stayed at the hideaway for a few nights over Christmas and it really was the perfect getaway. It was all decorated for a Christmas stay too. We enjoyed the log fire, the hot tub under the stars, the Beatrix Potter trail around Esthwaite water, the local pub food (The Queens Head was particularly noteworthy!), and the exceptionally helpful and attentive hosts topped things off.

The property was cozy, comfortable and came with everything we needed for a two day off grid break. Attached to a farm with hosts that will do anything at the drop of a text you can’t ask for more.
The amount of firewood could be improved even though it was provided every time we asked, we just didn’t want to ask.

Very secluded, private and cosy, with a beautiful surrounding. The both is great for a couples stay, and is situated nicely, away from the main roads but close to Windermere ferry so access to shops and places to eat out aren’t too far away. The wood fire was a lovely touch, and the room is furnished beautifully with an incredibly comfy bed. The owners are lovely and have two dogs that are an absolute delight to meet, overall this has been one of the best getaways me and my partner have had and will 100% be booking this again next year
Nothing at all, it was perfect!

The location is beautiful and the views were stunning when sat around the fire pit or in the hot tub.
The hosts are lovely and so kind. Sarah was so lovely and welcoming and very kind letting us park at the property early.
Message sent before arriving with information about the area and local pubs was helpful.
The room is very spacious with a tv and coffee making supplies.
Hot shower with toiletries.
The star of the show was the hosts dog Peggy, she was a darling and so funny and welcoming when we arrived! If you love dogs you’ll be very happy.
Sadly the bathroom facilities didn’t work well for us with having to leave the main room and the wet room was rather small and a struggle for my 6’3 partner.
It was just too cold and inconvenient for us to have to leave the room to use the bathroom.
However it is listed in the booking so you are aware of it when you book. If you enjoy camping then it’s not a problem.
We also couldn’t get the log burner to stay lit so we were very cold through the night.

Fantastic bit of the world. Really cosy

The bothy was lovely. The building was utterly charming and rustic. Inside it has a large, comfortable bed, seats for two. There is a pod coffee machine, kettle and fridge. The tv is connected to Sky and Netflix. The wet room is in a separate building, a seconds walk away. The wood-fired hot tub is hidden to the side of the building. The owners are so helpful and I’d really recommend getting the breakfast that’s on offer as it’s delicious.
Nothing, however people with mobility issues might struggle with the steps to the front door.

Location was amazing, absolutely beautiful and secluded spot. Can’t wait to go back. The only (slight) downside was having to go away from the property in the night if you need to go to the toilet, but if you are used to camping this is no big deal! The shower was lovely and much better than a campsite would be. The hot tub is a real bonus with lovely views of the mountains. Hosts are friendly and welcoming.
A few more cups/couple of plates, spoons etc wouldn’t go amiss.

The area is isolated, very rural which for us was amazing and just what we needed. Sarah is amazing and very helpful. Received great advice on where to go for a meal, the tower bank arms, highly recommend. Also where to take our dog for walks. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best on the day we arrived, but it didn't dampen our stay. The views are spectacular. The hideaway is small but cosy and has everything you need and more. The attention to detail is exquisite. My favourite part was in the hot tub, staring at the fantastic views, with bats flying around and hearing the sheep in the field. My ideal heaven. Nature at it's best. I highly recommend coming here for some R&R. I didn't take many photos of our stay. Thank you Sarah and Rob. You have an amazing place. My partner and I loved it.
Some people may not like the wet room being a little walk away, we were not bothered as the views and hearing the sheep makes it worthwhile, oh and seeing the chickens (ex chicken owner who really misses chickens now). It's not a dislike for us but I know some may not like it. It's really not that far.

Everything. What a fantastic place this is. So secluded and private yet still close to so many places. The room itself has everything you need, and is so quaint and quirky. The bed is fantastic, best night sleep we have had in years. Loved the log burner and the hot tub was such a great addition, easy to heat up and stayed super toasty for ages. The power shower in the bathroom was great and the bathroom itself is an ingenious way to use a small space. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming. This is an absolute gem of a place and I was so sad to leave this morning! We never stay at the same place twice but we've already said we want to come back here and we've only been home an hour!
