It had full kitchen facilities, close to Cardrona. We paid a great price $1,023k for 6 nights, so great value.

I didn't find the owner pleasant to deal with for issues that kept happening. He adapted the bathroom light, as didn't have the light bulb on hand. I thought that would be on hand considering all the units are the same. Bit of a hassle having discussions back and forth. Avoidable. Buy a supply of your hard to get light bulbs. Other issues and the cleaner rang me during my day on holiday asking for the list of what she was meant to be doing at my unit, which was not my job, but the owners and was hard having to say I just wanted to know when she was going to be there. Not pleasant conversation interrupting my holiday again. I texted him and he didn't reply, so had to call him and he hadn't got my message, that was a reply to his message. It didn't feel very hospitable. Then the colored towels were for the shower, but located in the main room, because there was a lamp in the bathroom? Really confusing and again back and forth trying to explain this at the start of my holiday. Just use white towels for bathroom and hang them on the rail like everywhere else. There was heavy furniture everywhere, so had to relocate large circle table to fit our suitcases somewhere or would have been hazardous walking around. The pull out bed wasn't pulled out, because we didn't request that to happen apparently. With an injury, lucky my partner could do this, moving a heavy bedside also. Trundler bed isn't easy to move. Maybe leave the trundler out and people can put it away if they don't like that. Not the other way around. Not a great start after a long day. The spa had overflow from the pool half the time. So it was warm. Then finally water levels changed and we could use the spa for one night. Ruint the experience, having to keep walking to the spa to see if the water had lowered. We chose the place for the spa. Our unit 28 had this big dip going into the park outside the unit, which scraped the underside of the car.

It is a spacious and comfortable room at a quiet but scenic location and not too far from Wanaka. It also has very good facilities, including a washing machine and good cooking opportunity.

There is limited choice of restaurants in walking distance, but the one there is, the cardrona hotel, is a lovely place.
