Nice stay

Easy access to property, quiet neighbourhood, Modern utilities, decent shower, timely responses from host, available parking on drive.

I was cold throughout the night but messaged host and he kindly turned heating up. Smoke alarm went off at about 4am waking me up. No dressing table mirror in my room and would’ve been nice to have a TV in the room.

If I was going to be picky…. extremely small sink (not a huge issue).. It was massively noisy from the person upstairs - even when they were just walking around, it sounded like they were going to come through the ceiling at times 😂

The property was very well located, just an easy 8-minute walk from Reading town centre, and had all the essentials for a short stay.

The room, although it had the essentials, didn’t feel properly clean. The bed sheets didn’t seem washed, unlike the towels, which were clean. Because of that, I didn’t feel completely comfortable during my stay.

Self contained room

I stayed in room 2 and it was a self contained room with everything I needed. Also the toilet was located just next door. Nice to have complimentary full size toiletries too.

Alright for a short break

Comfortable bed. Good location near to the centre and railway station. Communication with the owner was excellent.

I had a problem with noisy guests the first night, but the owner sorted it and made sure it didn't happen again. The bathroom was on a different floor to the room I was in, although my floor did have a toilet and a small sink . Could do with a bedside lamp. For the high rating I expected it to be a little more inviting.

Comfortable and private stay

Convenient location. Short walk to Reading town center, restaurants, stores, and bars. Comfortable bed, enjoyed use of the full kitchen. Every amenity you would need and plenty of privacy.

The only 'negative' thing was sounds from the stairway, I'm a heavy sleeper so I didn't mind.
