L'abreuvoir de la Mer- villa - plage

We really struggled with entry to the property for a couple of hours. It turns out we needed to pay a 500 euro damage deposit for the access code to be sent to us - but this email with to payment never reached me. Eventually,. after switching to Whatsapp for communication, we got the link and were allowed entry. But this took about 2 hours and was a frustrating start.

We loved it all - the property was very clean and cool and we had a great time there, with very close access to the beach. I'm not sure I noticed any smoke detectors or fire extinguishers though?

We booked this cottage last minute (the day before arrival) as we had to cut our trip in France short and return to the UK, choosing it mainly for its proximity to Calais and just for a 3-night stay. However, it turned out to be our favourite place we stayed during our trip. The cottage is very spacious, beautifully furnished and decorated, and equipped with everything you need – it really feels like a home from home. The garden is large and lovely, and it’s just a short distance from a beautiful, unspoilt beach. We had specifically looked for somewhere with air conditioning after the heat in south-east France, but the cottage stayed naturally cool, so we didn’t need to use it. Communication from the hosts was also excellent.

We honestly couldn’t find any negatives.

Proper, groot huis. Mooie tuin met uitzicht, gras was wel niet verzorgd. Op enkele minuten van het strand. Alles aanwezig wat nodig

Tuin is niet omheind (wisten we op voorhand) Badkamer is glad Een van de kamers heeft geen ruit naar buiten
