Das Haus liegt etwa 100 Meter vom Strand entfernt und verfügt über eine kleine Zufahrt mit Carport. Es ist alarmgesichert und grundsätzlich gut gelegen. Allerdings ist das Haus nicht barrierefrei: Direkt vom Eingang beziehungsweise Vorgarten führen fünf Stufen zur Terrasse und zur Eingangstür. Rechts neben dem Haus gibt es eine kleine Grillecke sowie zwei Außenduschen. Leider sind auch dort die Armaturen verkalkt und schmutzig. Daneben liegt eine Außentoilette mit abschließbarer Tür, die allerdings in einem sehr unhygienischen Zustand war: Der Boden der Toilettenschüssel wirkte verschmutzt und es roch stark muffig. Zudem wird beim Duschen in diesem Raum das gesamte Bad mit Waschbecken und Toilette nass.

Der Gastgeber selbst war nicht vor Ort, stattdessen war seine Mutter anwesend. Ihr Verhalten vermittelte den Eindruck, dass die Gäste ständig beobachtet würden. Wenn sie nicht in der Nähe war, schien es so, als würden Nachbarn diese Rolle übernehmen. Jeden Tag fuhr die Mutter langsam am Haus vorbei, blieb vor dem Haus stehen, stellte das Auto in der Nähe der Nachbarn ab und lief dann zu Fuß umher. Meist befand sie sich bei den Nachbarn nebenan oder gegenüber. Dadurch fühlte man sich während des gesamten Aufenthalts kaum unbeobachtet. Schon bei der Ankunft war die Mutter vor Ort, eine Hausführung war nicht notwendig, da die Mappe im Haus ausreichend Informationen enthielt. Dennoch wirkte ihre permanente Anwesenheit wie ein Kontrollmechanismus. Ein weiteres Problem zeigte sich bereits vor der Anreise: Über WhatsApp informierte mich der Gastgeber, dass im gebuchten Preis nur zwei Schlafzimmer enthalten seien – obwohl die Buchungsbestätigung bei Booking eindeutig vier Schlafzimmer auswies. Er bot die restlichen zwei Zimmer für 100 € pro Nacht zusätzlich an. Erst nachdem ich mich klar auf die Buchungsbestätigung berief, lenkte er ein und erklärte, er überlasse uns das Haus mit allen vier Schlafzimmern „gnädigerweise“, damit er uns den Urlaub nicht verderbe. Auch der Service vor Ort war eingeschränkt. Nach drei Tagen fragten wir nach frischen Handtüchern, was jedoch abgelehnt wurde. Diese würden nur wöchentlich gewechselt. Wir haben sie daher kurzerhand selbst gewaschen. Darüber hinaus ließe sich sagen, dass besondere Vorsicht geboten wäre, wenn ein Gast während des Aufenthalts Geburtstag hätte. In diesem Fall wäre es wohl ratsam, eine andere Unterkunft zu wählen. Sollte ein Gast Verwandte in der Nähe haben, so sollten diese offenbar unbedingt fernbleiben.
