Listing does not match apartment

Close proximity to train station.

Property photos do not match the listing, and in addition, the address was wrong (it appears the address listed is for a refugee shelter). When I brought this up after our stay, the property stated that the apartment in the listings was unavailable so they had alternate accommodation; this seems to be a lie as other people have had this issue in the past, and it was also never mentioned to us until after I raised the concern (in which case we would have looked for different accommodation that had a stovetop, coffee pods and other items not present at the accommodation we were given). The process for obtaining access to the apartment was difficult as the instructions for us on arrival were unclear. There is a lot of storage and clutter of random items throughout the apartment, it seemed like it was someone’s second home or storage unit for unwanted items. The bathroom also had a weird odour that was either coming from the drain or the towels.

Satisfactory

Location very central, handy to the railway station, which we use when visiting Lausanne. Despite the proximity to the station, we slept okay, because the railway noises stop about 11pm, and don't start again until we're awake in the morning anyway. And the noise is not particularly intrusive anyway.

We would have liked a mirror close to an electrical socket so that we could use the mirror when drying our hair.

Do Not Book

Unfortunately for the process bad, nothing.

It’s nothing like the photos! Not at all. Plastic & metal furniture & fabric storage cabinets for utensils & dishes. Kitchen area is cluttered with cleaning products that by the looks of the mold in the bathroom, they never use. Small refrigerator handle was broken & the tiny freezer was a block of ice. The curtains were broken too. It was so hot & so noisy all night long. Worst hotel stay in our 3 month visit in Europe.

Avoid unless this is your last resort!

Once we found it, it was close to Lausanne station, a level walk from a small square where passengers filter out on the “lake side” exit.

The “owner”/letter deliberately placed info with booking.com as #14, which is a refugee hostel: we arrived & forced the Concierge to read our paperwork. Simultaneously, having said we would arrive by train at 15.40 & confirmed we were there sent a message saying it was “4” rue Simplon; & to phone for code & instructions to enter correct building. Probably an attempt to avoid being found breaching lease conditions. Lift wasn’t working to 4th floor. Temperature to south facing room now 35 degrees- fan machine not a/c. Opened windows but trains run all night on other side of building.

Malgré ces désagréments, le logement très bien situé, même si la gare de Lausanne est en travaux !

Contact avec la logeuse par téléphone, quant à moi pas de connexion téléphonique en Suisse (venant de France) donc compliqué pour avoir du WIFI avant d'arriver au logement. J'ai du aller dans une boutique et demander à une vendeuse sympathique qui m'a prêté son téléphone. La logeuse m'a envoyé les éléments pour rentrer dans le logement , un peu trop tard quand j'étais déjà en Suisse à Lausanne. Elle aurait dû les envoyer avant.

Je souhaitais être proche de la gare CFF, ce qui était le cas. Mais je ne conseillera pas ce studio.

Les photos ne correspondent pas à la réalité, tout particulièrement la photo d'accroche (Lavaux) alors que le studio donne sur un autre bâtiment. Pas de plaque de cuisson. Tiroir pour couverts : un bac en plastique où tout est en vrac. Pas d'eau chaude le dernier jour. Pas d'oreiller 60x60, mais des petits appuie tête. La barre du rideau de douche, n'étant pas correctement fixée, est tombée dès le premier matin. Aucune possibilité de la fixer. Mauvaise indication du WiFi.

Sale et pas moderne du tout, dans les photos on as une autre vision mais l’endroit et le studio n’est pas accueillant ni frais. Les verres toute salés, des cheveux sur les assiettes, donner pas envie de manger dans le studio.

Soggiorno di 3 giuorni

Nous avons séjourné dans cette chambre pendant trois nuits et nous nous y sommes très bien sentis. Le lit était confortable et la petite table très pratique pour manger à deux. La propriétaire a été gentille en nous permettant d’arriver plus tôt. Le micro-ondes, la bouilloire et les serviettes mises à disposition ont été très utiles. Excellent rapport qualité-prix.

Il y a une odeur un peu étrange dans la salle de bain, à laquelle on peut s’habituer, mais rien d’inquiétant.

Studio agréable et hôte sympathique

Super emplacement à deux minutes de la gare de train situé dans un joli quartier très vibrant. Grand lit confortable. Nous avons dîné dans un bon japonais juste à côté. Hôte sympathique et serviable nous a fait de bonnes recommandations de loisirs.

Il y avait des travaux dans la rue d'en face mais c'était signalé avec une note informative dans l'appartement sur les horaires des travaux.

Logement et accueil relativement décevant

Le lit était confortable et la salle de bain très convenable

Il n’y a pas de cuisine ou kitchenette, il s’agit d’un lavabo, d’un micro-ondes et d’un petit frigo dans l’entrée. Il n’y a pas de plaque de cuisson seulement des casseroles électriques mais sans espace prévu pour les poser. Logement non climatisé annonce mensongère, seulement équipé d’un ventilateur. Il faisait extrêmement chaud dans l’appartement qui est situé au 4ème étage. Les contacts par appel téléphonique aurait pu être plus agréable même si l’hôte répond à toutes les questions.

Les photos de la publicité Booking ne correspondent pas au studio dans lequel nous avons séjourné. Aucune plaque de cuisson, vue sur Building et non sur le lac. Très bruyant avec le train qui passe tout juste derrière l'immeuble, et ce, à grande fréquence.

Un séjour exceptionnel

L'emplacement était parfait, à deux minutes à pied de la gare, dans un quartier calme et animé avec beaucoup de services et commodités. L'appartement est moderne, joliment décoré et impeccablement propre, avec un grand lit très confortable. L'hôte était accueillant et réactif, toujours disponible pour répondre à nos questions. Nous recommandons vivement cet appartement et reviendrons sans hésiter lors de notre prochain séjour.
