Nice enough for the room cost in central london

Superb location. Just by Earl's Court underground (literally 1 min walk) and in one of the most beautiful areas of London, in my opinion. Price was reasonable and staff were helpful and friendly. Room was clean and towels were changed on the second day (we stayed 3 nights) We would come back.

Such beautiful building deserves some extra love. Carpet on stairs is very dusty, in the room the sink would not drain properly, the walls are very thin and you can literally hear the people in the next room switching on the light.

Michael, the front desk person was kind and polite. His emails to check on arrival were professional and courteous. There was a kitten at the front desk to enjoy. The beds were clean and pretty comfortable. The location is fantastic and convenient to the Earls Court tube.

Odd and unpleasant smells. No A/C which is on us because we didn’t check. Didn’t look to have been cleaned in a long time; very dusty, dirty walls, etc. No fresh towels or room service although we asked twice. Very minimal and old furniture in a very tiny room. The shower would decrease to a literal trickle and the temp could not be adjusted-it was extremely hot. We found another shower in the hall and used that instead. Several lightbulbs were burned out.
