The Cosy Urban Jungle - Brixton

We had a wonderful five-night stay at the Cozy Urban Jungle in Brixton Hill. The location was fantastic—just a short walk from Brixton Tube Station, close to bus routes, and within easy walking distance of beautiful Brockwell Park and Herne Hill. It was the perfect home base for our London adventure. The apartment was clean, tidy, modern, and thoughtfully decorated, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated having our own cozy space to relax after busy days exploring the city. The property had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including fans that were especially appreciated during the heat wave. The hosts clearly paid attention to the details, making the apartment both practical and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend the Cozy Urban Jungle to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-situated place to stay in South London.

This is a bedroom and private bathroom within someone's beautifully kept home. Basic, with tea and coffee. Good internet. No TV. Perfect for an inexpensive stopover. Comfortable and spotlessly clean. Safe parking. Friendly host, friendly pooch, with great recomendations for places to eat etc.

Good location and amenities. The hosts were relatively prompt in resolving most issues I had with the apartment, and were good with correspondence in general.

Collecting keys from a location some distance away was not convenient, especially with luggage. Having to follow up with the hosts regarding the maintenance and cleanliness issues.

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön, klein, aber nett eingerichtet. Es sind genügend Schrankplatz und Ablagen vorhanden. Das Bad ist sehr klein, aber mit guten Ablagefächern ausgestattet. Die Küche und der Wohnraum sind sehr hübsch und gemütlich. Das Haus insgesamt ist sehr ruhig und angenehm. Die Lage der Wohnung ist perfekt, Bushaltestelle direkt vor der Tür. Brixton ist exotisch und bunt, vergleichbar mit Berlin Kreuzberg, aber sehr interessant. Außerdem ein guter Ausgangspunkt um den Londoner Süden zu erkunden.

Leider waren die Gastgeber sehr unflexibel mit der An- und Abreise, früher rein und 30 Mintuen länger drinbleiben nur gegen Gebühr ( Anreise um 12 statt um 15 Uhr sollte 40 Pfund kosten). Den Schlüssel muss man in einem kleinen Supermarkt ca. 4 Minuten die Straße hoch abholen und abgeben. Der Wasserhahn in der Küche war defekt und lief die ganze Zeit. Dafür und das wir den Handwerker in die Wohnung gelassen haben gab es Kekse. Das bin ich von anderen Gastgebern in London besser gewohnt. Die Wohnung könnte insgesamt besser geputzt sein, sieht nicht nach einer professionellen Reinigungsfirma aus. Die Fenster waren völlig verschmiert. Die Wohnung liegt an einer stark befahrenen Straße, Lärm rund um die Uhr, wer empfindlich ist, sollte sich hier nicht einmieten. Der Aufzug fuhr nur bis zur 3. Etage, wurde vorher nicht bekannt gegeben, fand ich nicht so gut.
