Good location.

Pillows really need replaced. Was in a room on the street side and very noisy at all times.

After a long day on the road with my motorcycle, I was grateful to find a bed that was comfortable enough to give me a solid night’s rest. It made all the difference in being able to continue my trip refreshed the following morning. Simple, cozy, and exactly what I needed.

The only downside was noticing a stain on one of the pillowcases. I’d recommend that housekeeping replace pillowcases after every guest checkout and double-check them to ensure they’re clean. It wasn’t a big issue since I simply didn’t use that pillow, but addressing this would make the stay even better.

Lovely colonial hostel, generally quiet, just a couple of blocks from the cathedral and walking distance of most bus terminals. Only Spanish speaking, but very patient, and WhatsApp used. They were very helpful, getting us information on buses to Guatemala and printing documents, among other things. Very clean. Main front gate, with bell if locked, key to own room. Good wifi/internet/network throughout. Decent sized kitchen, 6 ring gas hob (not sure if oven works, it was full of pots and pans), large fridge/freezer (food labelled with room number, kept clean and old food removed). Small electric oven, coffee maker, pots, pans, cutlery and crockery. Kitchen always kept clean. Lovely outside garden patio for eating (sheltered areas). Separate area for hand washing clothes (not sure if washing machine/laundry available). We left our main backpacks there when we visited Juayua for 4 days. Large bedroom, comfortable double bed, 1 bedside table. 2nd table and chair. Large cupboards for storage. Bin. Does get warm, but stand alone fan more than adequate. Massive bathroom, good lighting. Hot shower, towel hooks and rail.

No visible signs of recycling. No drinking water available. Kitchen could do with more pots, cutlery, crockery, and cutting knives for the size of hostel. Room often had a bad drain smell. Terrible lighting. No bedside lamp. No clothes hooks. Not enough powerpoints.
