Villa Magnolia

Overall, a very nice villa — clean, tidy, spacious, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable short stay. The balcony was beautiful with absolutely amazing views, and the pool was definitely one of the highlights. It was stunning, very clean, and clearly well looked after, with someone coming twice a week for maintenance (so early that we didn’t even notice until we woke up and saw our pool floats had been moved!). The location was also ideal, with everything easily accessible.

The villa itself does feel quite dated inside and would benefit from some updating. A few things we noticed that could improve future stays: More accessible plug sockets are needed, especially near mirrors. It was difficult to use a hairdryer or hair straighteners upstairs as there were no mirrors in the bedrooms and no convenient sockets near the available mirrors. We had to use a small extension lead from another room, which wasn’t ideal. There were three taps in the kitchen (two cold and one hot), but it wasn’t clear whether one was for drinking water. A small sign would be helpful, as we ended up buying bottled water just to be safe. The upstairs bathroom had a very strong unpleasant smell coming from the drains, which really needs to be looked at. Despite these points, we had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the villa, especially the pool, views, and location. With a few small improvements, it would be an even better place to stay.

Location. Pool cleaned regularly. Shower nice, plenty of hot water.

Run down. Kitchen cupboards smell and no room to put/store food. Sofa falling to bits, seats sunk and black stuff falling from underneath sofa constantly. Felt and looked dirty. Towel rails in both bathrooms hanging off walls. Outside dining table falling apart and held together with tape. Paving around the pool broken and cracked. Single mattresses in bedroom off balcony absolutely disgusting - filthy, stained with bodily fluids (could be anything) health hazard, mattress protectors worn out, bobbled, old, not fit for purpose. New mattress protectors would really not cost that much to replace.
