Riad Kech One & Spa

Very clean facility. The stuff is extremely friendly, respectful and helping. The decoration of the interior is very attractive. The location is very central, yet a bit scary for first time travelers.

Not that we didn't like it, but just a few recommendations to the management and tips to the future customers. To start with driving to the facility is not possible. You will have to walk for a while when dropped by your transportation. That short walk is a bit shocking to the first time visitor especially if you arrive late in the night. Then you will find out that this is actually more like a guest house rather than a hotel. The Spa in the name is mostly esthetic. Don't expect a real spa hotel. The rooms are spacious and very clean but lack the facilities that should be provided by a 4 stars accommodation. No TV, no radio, no fridge. The breakfast is good, but consists of pastry and sweets. If you don't like sweet, better to skip it.

Location was great. Information to get to Riad was clear. The breakfast was exceptional especially the yogurt. The guy(which didn’t get his name) that brought us breakfast everyday is kind, polite and always smiling. The always checked in on us and ask where we were going and how was our day etc. Very clean and exceptional place to stay.

Perfect location, great breakfasts, and a lovely room. But most importantly, the hotel concierge, Mu, was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful. He deserves all the praise he can get, as well as a pay raise. He is a true professional in his field, and there are fewer and fewer people like him these days.

Well designed interior, definitely a unique experience. Hosts were kind to provide breakfasts and listen to our requests.

Our first room was too hot which was changed for us afterwards - this change was not done out of pleasure or for preference. If the room's AC was strong enough, we would not have requested the change. There was no AC in the bathroom at all and it was so unbearably hot. If we had kept the window open, mosquitoes and other insects would most definitely have flown in at night. The second room that we were switched to had a hole in the door where flies kept coming in. We spent a whole hour swatting all the flies until they were dead. Streets outside the Riad can be dirty as it is close to food stalls. We were charged for water bottles which was not made known that they were free beforehand - this was dishonest and they refused to put this on the invoice as well, showing that the staff most likely kept this money to themselves .We had an early checkout so the property's claim that this could be fixed was simply not possible. There are only two staff, the manager and his employee, and his employee clearly did not relay to the manager that we were dissatisfied about this situation. It's not the customer's onus to have to keep raising this issue. The manager needs to improve communication with his employee who clearly knew that we were dissatisfied and insisted we must pay for the water. The so called possibility to raise this at checkout is not like there is a hotel reception with 10 staff to solve the issue.
