Chic Hollywood Retreat 2Bed Rooftop Pool with Iconic Views

I liked the location: it was only about 15 minutes from Griffith Observatory and Universal Studios. The apartment was also spacious, which was a plus.

The apartment did not match the listing and had multiple maintenance issues from the start. The most serious problem was the missing and broken window blinds throughout the apartment, which left us with no privacy and made it difficult to sleep due to outside light. The bathroom exhaust fan was also not functioning. Additionally, the apartment faces the back of the building, where the view is not pleasant. Despite reporting these issues immediately, nothing was fixed during our stay. Communication was also frustrating, as it was unclear who we were speaking with, and after raising concerns, we were still asked about our “5-star stay,” which did not reflect our experience. Overall, the condition was disappointing and not worth the price we paid.

The apartment was clean and the beds were comfortable. It had lots of space for us to relax. The optional parking is a must and was a nice added bonus since it was hard to find parking on the street. The wifi was great and there were enough dishes and cookware to accommodate us.

First off, we were unable to get into the property when we arrived. They said they would meet us, but that didn't happen. I had told them we would get there around 7pm and with bad traffic it ended up being 7:40pm. We tried calling both numbers provided for over 20 minutes with no answer. Finally, I had to contact Booking.com to get them to answer. I finally just snuck in the front building door with a DoorDash delivery person. The owners had just left the door unlocked with the keys on the counter. The big air vent in the hallway was very dirty! It needs cleaned ASAP! The carpet in the master suite was really dirty as well. The main bathroom didn't have a towel rack and no hand towels were provided. The blinds in the property were mismatched and didn't work properly to open and close. The dishwasher didn't have a basket to put utensils, so they had to be washed by hand.

Property owner is very dependable person, and apt was neat. Thank you for everything and good luck
