I had a great stay! The place was exactly as described, clean, good location and cozy.

This place is not ready for letting.

Two fans had been provided, and the lift in the building worked. I can see an effort has been made to make it appropriate for a letting however.

Two most important things when staying away from home is the bed, and shower. The mattress is so old and uncomfortable it should be thrown out immediately. Springs pushing into one when trying to sleep? Not good. There was no hot water, at all for a shower. The weather may be hot this weekend but I don't take cold showers. The furnishings generally are not inviting, the kitchen unusable if one wants to cook; no pots and pans. Crockery and cutlery looked like they've been sourced from the cheapest charity shop singly. Bathroom door made an horrendous noise. The hinges needed oiling. I happened to have WD40 in my car which solved that problem. The flour is dirty. Wi-Fi is inaccessible (and the log-in details almost unreadable - would help if they were properly printed out) because it says too many people are using it. ?!?! TV wasn't usable. The notices stuck everywhere haphazardly are not welcoming the way they have been presented.

Disappointing, but attention to a few details could have made all the difference.

Given wrong key box code, twice, before we eventually got the correct code, delaying our entry by around 40 mins. No hot water, contacted host but he "didn't usually put water heater on during the summer". we tried without success to get the water heater to work but even after swapping the dead control batteries with the ones from the tv remote we still couldn't get it to work. We had no choice but to shower in cold water. No light bulb in the hall and the flat was generally dimly lit. Mattress was very cheap and uncomfortable, I'm not suggesting it should be a Premier Inn Hypnos mattress but preferably on that has a few more springs and padding. The toilet seat doesn't fit the square toilet. The front edge of the toilet rim protrudes beyond the seat and is unacceptable. We went out for the evening and on our return, the flat had a fishy smell that wasn't there when we went out. We suspect that the smell is somehow getting into the flat from cooking in the flat below. Corridors leading to the flat smell of cigarette smoke and the door to the flat was dirty.

This was the worst place I have ever stayed in and I couldn’t stay there any longer. The property was filthy, the bedding was stained, the shower room had not been cleaned the floor had not been vacuumed, the toilet and shower were both dirty with a toilet seat that didn’t even fit and not even a toilet roll provided. The washing machine was full of someone’s washing and the fridge and freezer both had food that had been left behind. The microwave wasn’t working and the fan didn’t have a front on which is dangerous. The electric sockets were all on extensions on the floor again very dangerous. The walls were stained and when I got into the property there were flys in room.

The worst service, bad hygiene, bad customer service

The Place was very dirty !!

This is the worst service I have ever received. Hygiene wise I rate this place Zero!!!!! Before checking in he said that someone was coming to fix the toilet and clean the place up & that was a lie!!. As you can see from few pictures i could share the bathroom had not been cleaned at all !!!, the toilet sit was disgusting and still had urine stains on it the pictures below are after i had wiped it down my self , i had to shower with my slides on , the kitchen tops had crums all over it, the bathroom matt had dog hairs and looked like it hadn't been changed in a while the bedding had dog hairs and wasn't ironed and just looked dirty. I'm so glad I brought my own disposable bedding and had some antibacterial wipes to wipe around the surface areas just so i could be a bit comfortable, the whole place just looked unkept. I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy. Unfortunately I was forced to stay the night as I couldn't afford staying else where.

Absolutely disgusting!

On entering the building there was a really bad smell. The lift upto the flat smelt like someone had done their business in it. When we got to the door there was a great big dirty mark across it. We opened the door and there was a final demand from the power company on the floor. The bathroom was disgusting, dog hair all over the bath mat, the toilet was in 3 pieces and covered in urine. There was mould up the walls and dirty cosmetics on the window sill, the plug holes were full of dog hair and broken . We went into the next room and there was a very grotty bed with hair all over the bedding. A small chair that looked like it was part of a sofa. I turned the light on and it looked like it was having a disco, flashing on and off. It's a good job neither of us were epileptic! To the left of the bed was a small kitchen. I opened the fridge and freezer to find manky food in there, there was again hair in the kitchen sink which was dirty and rusty. I messaged the owner to tell them what the property was like and they were very rude. Insisted there was nothing wrong with the property and the state it was in was none of our business. I do not recommend anyone in their right mind stay here. We decided not to stay, was refused a refund and took our selves off to a very nice Premier inn 10 minutes away.
