Casa Consilla

Pros: management are so friendly and very accomodating. They held our bags after check out time to collect later, they brought us ice when ever we asked for our drink bottles. They met us at the property to check us in. The location is a 10/10 and walking distance to everything. The views make it such a delight to wake up and the aircon works super well for these really hot summer days.

Cons: I personally thought the bed and pillows were not comfortable, however I know that can be a unique thing to each person. The bed sheets were clean but the underlay was not. We had to unclog the shower drain and pulled out a lot of built up hair that looked like hadn’t been cleaned out in months. Can confirm the drain no longer takes a long time to drain away. And we had ants in our room the entire time from the moment we checked in.

Located I’m on the main strip up the hill in Positano. Big room, with a balcony. Can be a little noisey at night time but most nights we were okay. Great location

No where to hang washing as you would get told off if there was clothes on the balcony. Shower would pool whilst using it but would drain after 10mins

Casa Consilla was a lovely place to stay in Positano. The location was excellent, just a short walk to Fornillo Beach, the harbour, restaurants and the town centre. The rooms were clean, comfortable and air-conditioned, which was a lifesaver during the July heatwave. The terrace had beautiful views and was a great place to relax. The host was very responsive before and during our stay, providing clear directions to the property and useful local transport advice. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

The only downside is that, like most of Positano, there are quite a few steps, so it may be difficult for anyone with heavy luggage or limited mobility. This isn't a fault of the property but something to be aware of when visiting Positano. We also travelled during an extreme July heatwave, so walking uphill could be challenging in the midday sun. Overall with the rooms I can't fault anything, everything was perfect.

Ants in the room. I didn’t realize the room was on top of a restaurant and there was quite a bit of noise with clanking of dishes and loud voices. I am very concerned that on two occasions staff walked into the room unexpectedly (not to clean). There was no “ do not disturb sign” available. This should never happen. Once the person said “ oh is everything ok” because clearly he didn’t realize I was there and he was coming in for who knows why. Then the day before the left, again a man came into the room wanting to leave instructions for the next people staying in the room. In the future, if you are going to enter a room outside of cleaning, I highly suggest that you contact the guest first. Particularly for women staying alone in the room. Also, it’s a beach town but no beach towels are available?
