Characterful , traditional and excellent value - we loved this overnighter. Our room was fine - the bathroom was small but not really an issue. Great grub!

Like the community feel of the pub. The room was ok, bit tired in the decor on the walls, but looked like new curtains and carpet. Bed was comfy and plenty of teas and coffees in the room.
The shower was small and in need of a good clean around the base of cubicle and change the shower head.

We liked everything about the place, the staff were very friendly we wished we could have stayed longer. would recommend to others, good location and easy parking.
Didn't have the beer we like. Windows didn't keep noise of traffic out, but that wasn't too bad.

Breakfast was a good Full English. Clean room. Friendly staff. There was the personal touch of being taken to our room. There was a welcome pack including biscuits and wifi info. Heater and fan provided. Nice toiletries.
On our first night, we had to leave early for a fishing trip and staff kindly prepared sausage sandwiches for us to take away
We were there for our anniversary weekend and we were left an anniversary card
We didn't realise that our room was directly above the bar - this was extremely noisy on our first night - I could actually hear conversations in the bar which meant I got very little sleep. Bathroom was tiny - but clean.
The second night was less noisy and I got a good night's sleep
I would recommend blackout blinds as curtains were very thin and let in a lot of light. It would have been good if there were glasses for water and a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries.
