The heart of the home includes a fully equipped kitchen with high-end stainless steel appliances and plenty of counter space, seamlessly connecting to the dining room (with seating for eight) for shared meals. What a beautiful place to stay. The house is roomy with areas to spread out. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals. Great communication with host. The house is close to Acadia. Good grocery in Ellsworth. Our pup had plenty of room to roam.

My wife and I spent three nights here with friends in late April. Although the weather was chilly during our stay, the house kept us perfectly comfortable and offered beautiful views of Mill Cove and Union River Bay.The home is exceptionally clean and very well stocked. There are three spacious bedrooms with king-size beds, two of them featuring stunning water views, and a fourth bedroom with twin beds, which worked out perfectly for our group. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into the details, and those touches really add to the home’s overall charm.We especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces, with multiple seating areas and a fire pit that made it easy to relax and take in the scenery.The location is excellent, just a short drive to both Acadia and Ellsworth. One of the highlights of our trip was returning to the house after a day of exploring Acadia. The peaceful setting and water views added another layer to the experience and made it feel like an extension of the park itself.One small note: while the kitchen is well equipped and features a large, modern refrigerator, it is a bit on the smaller side. If you have multiple people cooking at once, it can feel a little tight—but it’s certainly manageable.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely return in the future.

Alexandria and Adam were the consummate hosts! They've thought of everything: guidebooks for getting to all the top sightseeing spots, a camera for special moments, fully stocked kitchen and tons of seating for a group with views of the lake, really cozy beds, large closet space, and a desk in every room. It would have been easy to stay at the house all day and not felt like we'd missed out on any vacationing. The views are stunning and they vary beautifully with the light and weather. Our room had a large desk with a monitor and keyboard and I made a dozen uninterupted video calls for work while there. Our kids were thrilled to share their own bedroom, which even had blackout shades and a pack-n-play for little toddler sleeps. We came in winter, and I highly recommend for off-peak fun: the kids enjoyed romping in the snow, sledding nearby, a visit to the lighthouse and sand beach, and other walks out to scenic spots in the park (they're too small for long summer hikes anyway, so this worked out for us). To be honest, it also gave us the excuse to spend some time inside reading, and we were able to cook so many meals at home that it made it easy with the kids; when we went out, the meals were really special and shockingly good for off-season (apparently the restaurants alternate days so they can share staff, a genius solution) -- try The Ovens, Peter Trout, and Momo's. And it was really close to a local grocery store, a cute market with sandwiches and local blueberry soda.
