Lovely cottage, not impressive housekeeping

The location was great, and the cottage was great

The cleaniness! Hairs and dirt in the fridge, toaster absolutely full, broken glass on the floor, hairs in the bed, hoover hung near the kitchen and was full... cobwebs everywhere.. no hot water in the sinks for washing up or a wash...

Great hidden getaway cottage away from the worl

Comfort of the cottage, owners had thought of everything ajd we felt at home from the start. Spotlessly clean and easy self check in, location superb for walks from the door, extremely dog friendly owners.

Nothing to fault the place for. SKY Sports pre dog walks a real treat sofas and bed all very comfortable. I'd personally have liked a small woodburner but it wasnt a game changer

Cosy Christmas Cottage.

Location was perfect for Alton Towers, only about 20 minutes away. Everything you need from supermarkets to takeaways all within 10 minutes drive. Very comfortable bed, very clean, and cosy little place to stay. Good WiFi, also has sky TV! Not that we watched it much, but nice to have. Really appreciated the treats that were left out for us, great little touch and juices/milk in the fridge. Great value for money. Would definitely book here again!

The only thing I would say is the shower. It cut out for a few seconds a couple of times whilst in use, and the pressure wasn't very good but it does what you need it to.

Great location, very cosy, perfect for visiting Alton Towers.

The hot tap in the kitchen was dangerously hot and the shower pressure and temperature were temperamental at times.

Cosy & Comfortable

We had a 1 night stay at Christmas Cottage for my partners birthday. It was an excellent location to Alton Towers and very reasonably priced. The cottage is extremely well thought out and the facilities were exceptional. I even managed to plait my hair for our day trip thanks to the hair ties that were in the bathroom cupboard (one of the things I'd forgotten to bring with me)! It's honestly so well equipped and very cosy. We hope to come again and are already planning a return trip.

Better quality than our expectations.

This cottage wowed us from the start, immaculately clean, with a homely feel. The welcome basket of goodies were a treat. Best night's sleep I've had for ages. All in all a very pleasant experience.

There was some tea, coffee and sugar either supplied or left by other guest that had gone past their best. The ground coffee being solid. However, the welcome basket WAS fresh as was the contents of the fridge. Thank you.

Wonderful stay in a wonderful cottage- thank you!

Everything, wonderful location, host was lovely. I asked to bring my dog at the last minute due to personal circumstances and it was no problem at all. The cottage was immaculate and had everything I needed. I felt safe and comfortable the whole time.

My only gripe is an enclosed area for the dog, but it wasn’t a game changer.

A beautiful place to stay for awhile. Hosts were awesome!

The cottage was beautiful and comfortable. The interior was clean and gorgeously decorated! All needed utensils were there for cooking, and the basket of treats was a great bonus! A short walk to the pub for good food and a pint! Hosts were very friendly and helpful!

It was a little bit difficult to find and not much room for parking.

Comfortable with everything you could need. Small touches launch as welcome nibbles . Air conditioning a hod send as very hot weather. When power cut host offered us a pot of coffee and use of BBQ. Neither taken up but good to offer.

Nothing, would have been good to have a pack of cards or a scrabble set but luckily very warm weather so sat outside a lot. Unfortunate to have a 12 hour power cut so showering, cooking etc impossible but not fault of host, whole area affected.

Brilliant cosy accommodation.

I stayed here with a friend after a day at nearby Alton towers. It was a wonderful cottage, really beautifully decorated and very clean. The hosts were lovely and left a really nice snack hamper along with milk, butter, eggs. Loads of cookware, plates, glasses etc. The reclining sofa & Sky TV was a treat to relax to after a long day and the bed was so comfortable we didn’t want to get up. Lovely accommodation and will be recommending to friends & family!
