It's an astonishing venue, perched up on top of a hill with little else in sight. The location over the Fynbos was truly lovely and the entertainment area looking out through magnificent glass doors was restful. "Queen" - the friendly resident ostrich who was on welcome duty when we arrived, was an unexpected treat! The house is fairly close to Stanford, but rough roads at night make it a bit daunting, and when you are there on your own, it feels a bit remote. It does live up to its eco-promise. Felicita would be a perfect place to book for a family gathering or group of friends, where complete privacy and a fabulous space to relax, is order of the day.
We found it a little lacking in soft touches - it is somewhat austere! However, it would be perfect for a group or family who want to take over an entire space.
