It was located very near Fiumicino Airport which was convenient for our early morning flight. Everything was clean and private and the host was communicative.
One thing to note about *any* property near the beach is that there will always be a faint smell of mold, although the host did a good job of masking it with scented sticks. This is not the fault of the particular host but is something that will be an issue with any beach property. I know this because I used to live in Santa Marinella, another beach town not far from Fiumicino. It was not an issue for us, but someone with sensitivity to mold may need to stay in a hotel in Fiumicino rather than a home, though it might be an issue even there.
There was some difficulty with the taxi finding the location, but this wasn’t a big deal. More of an issue was the fact that you have to pay the daily hotel tax for Fiumicino IN CASH. I don’t know if this is particular to the host or to the town of Fiumicino, as everywhere else we stayed in Rome, Assisi and Norcia allowed us to pay this fee online or with an app. We were at the end of our trip and barely managed to scrounge up 10 Euro in cash. If our son was old enough to owe the tax we would not have had enough. The host also mentioned paying with a certain type of cash card which you will not have access to if you are not currently living in Italy.
