What a great way to experience the real Luxor. The location is stunning ... overlooking the banana plantations, guava tree in the back garden, birdsong all day, bats overhead at night, peace, quiet, village life all around. Yet just a quick ten minute stroll along the side of the banana plantations to the banks of the Nile, or the Corniche and the small cafes and restaurants of the West Bank. I walked up to Medinat Habu ... about an hour ... but such an interesting walk. You can hire bikes nearby, get local taxis, or just ask Mahmoud to take you out on his motorbike if you're not so keen on walking! This villa is just on the edge of a small village. Everyone knows everyone and they are so friendly and welcoming. Mahmoud is on site to look after you - anything I needed - taxi, directions, advice on where to go - and he was there to help. He also organised my taxi back to the East Bank and helped the taxi driver find the villa, as it is a little hidden away. The villa itself is well equipped, modern, good kitchen, big rooms, everything you need. I really couldn't fault it. And what a bargain! I didn't use the pool but it was nice just to sit next to it in the heat of the day to chill between visiting tombs and temples. If you need help with guides or taxis they will put you in touch with people. I was picked up at the airport and we stopped at a shop to buy provisions... so everything is so easy. If you want a place to chill and relax instead of the hustle bustle then this is heaven!

Warm ontvangst en verzorging door zeer vriendelijke Engels sprekende Egyptenaren. Uitgebreid ingerichte en veilige villa; lakens, dekens, handdoeken, keukengerei en -apparatuur. Uitzonderlijk voor Egyptische begrippen. Fantastisch zwembad en alles is schoon. Personeel is bijzonder behulpzaam. Ook bij het regelen van vervoer en uitstapjes is er een zeer goed Engelssprekende heer beschikbaar. Vervoer naar Marsa Alam of Hurghada is ook mogelijk. We hadden gewoon een privé chauffeur/gids met hem. Wij hebben een mooie luchtballonvaart gedaan, valley of the kings and queens bezocht. Ook de Colossos van Memnon, Habu tempel en de tempel van Hatsjepsoet. Alles op korte afstand. Felucca zeilboot met zonsondergang op de Nijl, wat een mooie belevenis! Ook de tempel van Luxor en Karnak tempel, plus het winkelgebied in oost-Luxor. Tempel Dendera was zeker ook een hoogtepunt. Wij komen zeker terug.

Even though the location is far from the ferry station, it is a great advantage for Luxor - you are far away from the hustle and bustle of the village and it’s very quiet. The balcony opens with a beautiful view of the valley of the kings, farm fields and you can spot hot air balloons in the morning. The best place to stay on West Bank. Our host, Mahmoud, was available 24/7 and was able to help us with everything we needed during our stay. If we need to go back to the property from the boat station at night, he was there to guide us. We loved this place and the people who managed it so much! Highly recommend this villa to stay. The villa itself is brand new, there is a swimming pool, all the amenities, brand new fittings - very comfortable and luxurious.

We loved absolutely everything

Located in a local village , a convenient 20 min walk from down town and the Nile , this place offered us a perfect retreat and solace from our travel. The hosts are top tier ambassadors for Egypt. They helped us with everything we needed and more. The views are delightful watching the morning balloon flight . Affordable, clean, quiet and private. We could want for nothing.

Was too cold in winter to use the pool ! We missed !
