Great host, responded quickly to messages, accommodated different check in time and also I could store my luggage after check out, I went to do the Shimanami Kaido. He was also really nice and called me a taxi when I left with all my luggage.
Only small issue was not being able to take my big suitcase to the room as had a large suitcase (the check-in type, my room was upstairs via narrow stairs).

"Very traditional and old house, the man who runs the hostel was very kind and generous. We really loved the comfortability of the tatami rooms."
