Cowshed

Location was fine for the beaches and ships etc. The use of the field was great for our Labradors.

When we arrived the mirror had fallen off the wall in the bathroom and it smashed the ceramic soap pot, the freezer had been left open and froze the drawers shut. Tried to use Netflix but was told too many users on account so would not load the same with Prime. It would sleep 4 people but it literally has four cups , four plates four spoons etc… The number in the welcome book for contact if we had any problems was incorrect and did not work as we wished to report the brakes as soon as we arrived. Not use to taking of towels which isn’t a big issue I guess, fortunately we spotted this before leaving home. Don’t get me wrong we really did love the place and this is not a criticism but just a note on how to improve for future renters.

Ideally located with exceptional views, this cottage is a little cosy gem. Real thought had been given to the design touches, and the comfort. The lovely sofa was big enough for us both to stretch out on, the bed was really comfortable and we slept so well all week. We loved the power shower with plentiful hot water and the late September weather was good enough to enjoy a morning coffee on the large patio outside. Safe parking right outside the cottage (you definitely need a car) and close enough to Whitby or Scarborough and their differing attractions. We would definitely recommended the Cowshed & I'm sure we'll stay there again.

Squeaky bedroom door which can be easily fixed and a tad more privacy from the 2 doors into the bathroom would improve it slightly, but in truth these are minor niggles only.
