The Wheel House has two bedrooms, a king as well as a twin, both en-suite. The cottages have spectacular panoramic sea views (a short walk from the cottage) across Whitby Abbey to Sandsend coastline with amazing sunsets and star gazing into the evening. Whitby is a popular historic town, with a wide array of pubs, restaurants and independent shops. Explore the narrow, cobbled lanes and pretty market square, or partake in afternoon tea in one of the many charming, traditional tea rooms. With long, sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs and a fascinating history to discover, Whitby has something to offer everyone. We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in North Yorkshire, staying at the Wheelhouse. The cottage is a great base for exploring the area and it is a fabulous place to stay. Very clean with a modern design, the kitchen is amazing! Love the mural on the front of the units. Bedrooms are very comfy and the whole cottage is very warm. Bathrooms are clean and warm too. The little garden outside is perfect for our little Maltipoo and we even managed to sit outside in the late afternoon sunshine on a few days. We have already booked for next year!

Our 5th stay at the Wheel house at Fern Farm, we absolutely love everything about this cottage & surrounding area!Everything is spotless & done to a very high standard & visiting Whitby, Sandsend & Robin Hoods Bay is fantastic & only a short drive away!!!Already booked another stay later on in the year!

The wheelhouse is a lovely property, very modern and spacious. It was beautifully clean with two great bathrooms. It has a sitting out area outside and it is very quiet and peaceful. Excellent place for a dog, with land to walk around giving a lovely view down to Whitby and the sea.

Lovely converted barn all on one level which was perfect for my mother in law. Very new and modern, great airy spaces with all mod cons. Perfect location close to Whitby and the North York moors with plenty of great sites to explore. Very dog friendly! - own small garden and a whole field to scumper in!
