Great location but not very clean apartment. Very strong cigarette odor in two back bedrooms.

Great location! Prior to my arrival i received a call from the property asking about any special requests, which was a nice touch. The property was quick to respond to messages on the Book.com app.

I requested that the sofa bed be made and closed but this was not done. I had to make the sofa bed myself. Moreover, the cover on the mattress did not look clean! Additionally, the two back bedrooms were dusty, the dining room chairs looked dirty and some had stains. The bathroom floors could have been cleaner. The sinks in one of the bathrooms and the kitchen were clogged. However, the woman who came to inspect the apartment used a knife from The kitchen to remove the stoppers. She also stated that chairs would be cleaned or replaced but she didn’t follow up. The towels provided WERE NOT clean, luckily I was able to go to the store for laundry detergent to wash the towels. However, we couldn’t shower immediately which was not fun. When I messaged Merveil about these issues they wanted photos prior to resolving the issues. I sent photos to an email for Booking.com but the email was returned. Merveil sent me another email address but I didn’t resend the photos until the end of my trip because I simply did not want my vacation ruined any more. Merveil never reached out to me nor did they make an effort to rectify the issues. Lastly two of the bedrooms especially the third bedroom smelled of cigarette smoke. It was so bad that we couldn’t use the third bedroom. This apartment was not cleaned properly. This is not the experience that was advertised on Booking.com. I was very disappointed.
