Gulf-View Balcony: Beachfront Condo in PCB!

I liked having our own private balcony. I felt secluded and unbothered which was great! I love that we could cook our own food which helped save some money.

The only thing that I did not like was that we had double red flags the entire stay and could not get into the water or do any water activities.

The location, it was very clean, bed was very comfortable, it comes with 2 beach chairs and an umbrella you just have to ask the people at the beach! Will definitely be coming again.

The location was excellent for our needs, directly on the beach, close to a decent restaurant and Walmart. The unit had a full, well furnished kitchen with a blender, 2 coffee makers, K Cup and traditional drip, toaster, range and stove top, microwave and refrigerator (the refrigerator was not full size but adequate for a vacation rental. An additional plus was that the unit included a daily free beach umbrella and chair rental, a $55 daily value.

The biggest issue that we had was the air conditioning system. Apparently, the entire condo complex is experiencing an issue with the cooling system. This has been ongoing for a year. Therefore, some owners, including the owner of unit 409 West, have decided to put stand alone air conditioning units in the condo to keep it cool. This is a good idea to keep the condo cool and reduce the humidity. However, these air conditioning units are large and loud. The first night, the units were on recirculate and not in the cool mode so we were very uncomfortable. The following day the maintenance personnel put the units into cooling mode so the temperature was comfortable. However, the air conditioning units were extremely loud, to the point that during the day, we ran the one in the bedroom when we were in the living area and ran the one in the living room at night so that the noise level was acceptable to sleep in the bedroom. I mentioned to both booking.com and the owner of our disappointment with this set up and the owner said it was mention in the listing. If it was, it was minimal and no pictures were included. There isn’t anyway that we would have rented this unit with the current set up. In addition, there was an unpleasant order in the bedroom. The bedroom had carpet so I don’t know if it was in the carpet or was coming through the hole in the wall in the closet that exposed 2 exterior drain pipes. I include pictures of the exposed pipes in the closet that had 2 pieces of dry wall propped against it as well as pictures of the air conditioner units. The bedroom air conditioning exhaust pipes went out of the bedroom window and the living room exhaust vent went out the patio door which kept it from securely closing and allowed sound and humidity into the unit. Another issue is that the bedroom air conditioner took up so much space in the small room that you could hardly open the dresser drawers.
