Villa Ikan

This Villa is absolutely gorgeous one of the best villas I’ve ever stayed in, everything looks brand new! Very peaceful and beautiful, not too far of walk from the harbour and the staff are happy to help at anytime. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Only thing is it’s a bit noisy with the animals at night but they provide earplugs.

Everything about this place was top notch. The staff, the assistance, the villa, the cleanliness, the pool, the garden, it was all perfect. Cleaners came everyday which is very important in these semi outdoor villas to keep ants and other creepy crawleys away. All the tiling and bamboo is kept pristine along with any nook and cranny, it’s all thoroughly spotless and makes all the difference. We had no issues with anything and would definitely stay here if we’re back in Gili Air. After 5 weeks of travel around Indonesia these guys set the bar and many others fall short in the details.

It’s a thatched roof with no sound insulation so the mosque can be heard like it’s in your room and it’s surrounded by cockerels that sound all night. The villa provided ear plugs which really helps if you’re comfortable wearing them but I’d also suggest putting white noise speakers in the rooms. Beds are also a little hard with tight sprung mattresses but the rooms are beautiful and very well air conditioned. That said, I’d choose this place again every time, it’s paradise in paradise.

This really is a beautiful villa. Tucked away from the main road it’s a gorgeous tropical oasis. The decor is clean and crisp with excellent size bedrooms and bathrooms . The villa is within easy walking distance of everything that you need on the island but also has good amenities and a gorgeous pool. The villa hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful.. you communicate via a WhatsApp and they were always very responsive to our needs. We asked for a number of recommendations for local businesses and these were all excellent. I would certainly consider staying here again and wish we could have stayed longer on the island as it’s wonderful .

The villa is located next door to roosters that wake you up quite early. The local mosque starts calling to prayer about 04.50am every morning for about 30 mins which can be quite disturbing, but I think that this could be an issue in many places as it’s only a small island. This isn’t the villas fault and they do provide earplugs if this bothers you. Our children didn’t really hear it but it’s something to be aware of if you’re a light sleeper.
