Drive could have been cleared of snow better but we had a 4 wheel drive as recommended

Loved the area. It was in a gorgeous place. The property size was fantastic. The areas felt welcoming.

It was only 42 in the property when we got there. Since it was snowing it was super cold. Many of the dishes had to be cleaned before we could use them. Some of the comforters looked stained so our kids would not use them. Needs blinds on all windows especially upstairs bathroom and locks on all bathroom doors.

Property has a nice rustic style and good proximity to the resorts. It felt like a good value.

Upon arrival, steps were icy and condo was 54 degrees. Kitchen was lacking--no potholders, no baking sheet, no ice, dirty dishes in cabinet. King bedroom upstairs shares a Jack & Jill bathroom with the tiny bunk room, making both rooms less private. None of these were deal breakers for us. However, we had one big issue. The host had listed the property as accommodating 10 guests. Prior to arrival, I specifically asked how the property slept 10 and the host replied: "Just to clarify, the bunk room has 3 beds, which can accommodate 6 guests if shared. The total capacity of the property is 10 guests." So imagine our surprise upon finding twin mattresses in the bunk room. (Also, a child could fall in the big gap on the wall side and the whole bunk bed sways when anyone climbs up or moves in bed.) I contacted Booking.com while still at the property about the sleep capacity issue and they attempted to get the host to respond multiple times but the host was unresponsive. I finally messaged the host myself and she denied any misrepresentation regarding sleeping capacity and denied the 30% refund I requested. She said: "I’d like to clarify that the bunk beds are twin-sized, as listed, and they are designed to accommodate two people per bunk, which is consistent with manufacturer guidance". While the listing never mentioned twins, what's most telling is that the host immediately updated the listing capacity from 10 to 7! I called Booking.com and pointed this out and they also took this as a confirmation of her misrepresentation and offered me a small compensation, stating it would be billed to the property. I'm glad the host updated the listing to be accurate for future bookings but she was blatantly dishonest with us, refused to make it right, and then tried to cover it up. Beware this is the kind of host you are dealing with. I've booked many times with Booking.com and never asked for any kind of refund.
