I felt UNSAFE and frightened after publishing a honest review

After I left an honest but respectful review about my stay, the host sent me a private message containing an image with offensive language and political hate speech (“Free P***stine” with curses). This was completely inappropriate and made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. I’m sharing this so that other guests are aware — no one should receive harassment after leaving a genuine review.

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. The apartment was dirty and full of hair — including on the bedsheets. We even found workers’ clothes left in the closet. The floor was dusty and unclean. There was no parking available, even though the host said we could park on the street, but it was always full, and every time we had to drive around the whole neighborhood for a long time to find a spot. There is no elevator, and there are many stairs to reach the apartment. The host was kind but didn’t offer any solutions — even when we asked to replace the bedsheets, he insisted they were clean, although they clearly were not. We even found hair inside the kitchen cupboards and in the cutlery drawer. Finally, after posting honest review, the host contacted us privately and sent us curses and threatened us

Fantastic apartment

The accommodation is situated in a peaceful neighborhood, in the vicinity of supermarkets, some restaurants, public pool, well connected to the city center that is few car minutes away. The apartment itself is large and bright, with a well equipped modern kitchen, large rooms, two TVs (the one in the living room is huge!), very comfortably and stylishly furnished. Parking is available by the property. A nice place to stay for friends and family coming to town, a much better alternative to hotel, especially for a longer stay.

Bäckerei direkt unten vor der Haustüre!

Wir kamen um 21:00 Uhr an. Die Wohnung war kalt, die Fenster gekippt, die Heizung auf Nachtmodus (es wurde nicht warm. Die Wohnung ist nicht sehr wohnlich ausgestattet, befindet sich im ersten Stock ohne Aufzug. Design Apartment ist übertrieben.

Schicke, gemütliche Wohnung

Der Eigentümer ist sehr freundlich und zu jeder Zeit erreichbar. Die Wohnung hatte viele gut durchdachte Details (beispielsweise Bücher für junger Heranwachsende) im Kinderschlafzimmer. Insgesamt war es sehr sauber und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Küche hat eine gute Grundausstattung (bis auf die Anzahl des Geschirrs). Der Eigentümer denkt mit und hat bei Ankunft Veggie-Gummibärchen für die Kinder hinterlegt. Da kam bei den Kleinen Freude auf.

Problematisch gestaltete sich das Türschloss. Hier stand ich mit drei Kindern im Schlepptau oft an einer Haustür, die sich nicht öffnen ließ. Zu Beginn dauerte es dann Mal einige Minuten, bis die Tür sich öffnete. Glücklicherweise kann der Eigentümer die Tür per Fernzugriff öffnen. Später habe ich schließlich nach Kontaktaufnahme die Tür geschwind öffnen lassen. Das funktionierte dann auch immer sehr schnell. Etwas unzureichend war die Anzahl an Geschirr und Handtücher. Mit drei Kindern reicht 1 Teller/Schüssel/Besteck etc. pro Person nicht aus. Insbesondere wenn man wie wir 4 Wochen in der Unterkunft verbringt. Das hatte dazu geführt, dass ich dann kurzer Hand weitere Handtücher und Geschirr kaufte. Alles in allem können wir die Unterkunft dennoch wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden und bedanken uns für die Gastfreundschaft.

Meine Frau und ich mussten uns eine Ersatzunterkunft mieten, da unsere Wohnung saniert werden musste. Wir kennen und in Wiesbaden und in der Umgebung der Unterkunft also gut aus, aber waren dennoch überrascht darüber wie sauber und modern alles ist. Vor allem aber hat uns fasziniert wie schön die Wohnung gerochen hat bei Ankunft. Alle Zimmer sind mit hochwertigem Raumduft (Rituals) ausgestattet, sodass man sich sofort mit allen Sinnen heimisch fühlt. Wir werden diese Unterkunft bei ähnlichen Anlässen wie Umzug, Renovierung, etc. immer wieder buchen. Der Vermieter ist sehr zuvorkommend und konnte uns bei unseren Fragen immer sofort eine Antwort geben und ist immer erreichbar gewesen. Die Betten sind sauber und vor Allem sehr gemütlich. Die Couch und das Wohnzimmer mit dem 77 Zoll Fernseher von LG, laden direkt ein, jeden Abend zum Kinoabend zu machen. Die Küche ist hochmodern und mit dem Herd vor dem Fenster macht das Kochen richtig spaß. Die größte Überraschung in der Küche war die Nespresso Kaffeemaschine und die Eiswürfel im Gefrierfach.
