Pop Art & Vibrant Parisian Flat AC Near Opera

The location of the flat is amazing, it is right behind Galleries Lafayette, very close to the Opera and just a small Metro ride from everywhere in Paris. The location is definitely the best part of the flat. It is decorated so well, and has everything you would need for a short holiday (we stayed 4 nights), the owners have definitely made the most of what they had with the flat (size wise). The beds were comfy & the shower was great. The flat is also air conditioned which in the freak 35 degree heat we experienced was very welcomed. We had a great time in the flat and the positives did outway the negatives.

It is very noisy at night, due to deliveries to Galleries Lafayette, refuse collections & possibly some building work going on across the street. This was compounded by the fact that at least two of the windows did not close properly, if this is sorted, it would help the noise. The tap in the toilet didn't work & I let the owner know & asked them to fix it after we left, so hopefully that has also been fixed. This flat is very small, smaller than it seemed in the pictures. There were 5 of us (4 adults & a child) as per our booking, due to the size, I think this flat is suited to less people, that said, it didn't affect our stay as we used the flat as a base for a very busy sight seeing trip. The building is tiny inside, the lift is also tiny and can only fit 2 people, or 1 with cases and the stairs are spiral, so if you have any mobility issues & don't like confined spaces it would be an issue, but it didn't affect our stay. The food establishment downstairs constantly had their door open into the corridors and so the corridors always smelled. It is quite expensive to stay here, but it is in the centre of Paris and you'd be pushed to find anywhere else that is so well decorated and appointed in the same area for a lower price.

Lovely apartment in the heart of the Grands Magasins area / close to the Opera. It was nice to have to separate rooms including one with a baby cot. Everything is downs very nice and comfortable. The property owners were also very nice and allowed us to check in early.

מיקום מצוין, דירה מהממת, מאובזרת עד הפרטים הקטנים, יש מעלית (פיצית אבל זה לא נורא), קרוב להכל, ממש ליד גלרי לפאייט, יש מטרו ותחנת אוטובוס במרחק כמה דקות... מאוד אהבנו. המארח נתן לנו לעשות צ׳ק אין מוקדם וזה היה נהדר. הוא גם ענה תמיד במהירות לכל ההודעות.

The decor and overall appearance of the apartment was amazing! Bright, light filled and decorated in a way that made you feel like you were staying in a museum. The kitchen, though small, provided everything that we needed for our family of four. The bathroom was elegant and very functional. The two bedrooms were light filled and served the purpose well. The couch converts to a full bed and that was very helpful as well. We liked the location due to the fact that it was close to many Metro stops and the Saint Lazare station. The Galleries Lafayette is literally right outside your door. There is plenty of grocery shopping and other items like cafes and boulangeries to get you what you need. There was even a small elevator to help with bringing up luggage, but since the apartment is only on the second floor, we mostly used it just for that purpose. The restaurants sharing the same building made the hallways and walking out onto the street for the first time each day a treat due to the wonderful smells that always made us hungry.

One of the bedrooms has a street light outside of the window and even with the light blocking shades, it made it difficult to get that room completely dark. Since we all sleep in dark rooms at home, this was a little inconvenient. Additionally, since this location is right next to the Galleries Lafayette, it is a more upscale and business focused neighborhood. So if you are looking for the more casual and laid-back family type of neighborhood, this won't appeal to you as much.
