An amazing little Burrow base

As a couple visiting the Lake District, we couldnt have asked for a more wonderful base of operations. Debbie was very communicative and we felt she was accessible to us if we needed it. The thoughtful design of the property accomodated everything we needed for our short break. It was comfy, cosy and we were more than happy to be "rained in" on one of the days. The location is very central and even though theres no parking at the property itself, this wasnt an issue for us at all. Sandgate car park is 3 mins walk away. We would definitely return!

Great place to stay!

The burrow was really cosy! My partner was obsessed with the under floor heating, it was very clean and well stocked! Perfect place to stay for a weekend visit!

The pub could be a little loud, but it didnt disturb my sleep ( and I struggle to sleep unless its quiet) also a plug in kettle would have been better than a stove top ( never used one before )

Had a fantastic time visiting other towns in the area and The Burrow in Penrith is the perfect base.

The location of the property was excellent, close to the town centre and only a few minutes walk to the railway station and bus terminus which I used each day of my stay. I would definitely recommend The Burrow and would have no hesitation in staying in it again.

Only a very minor point but a microwave would have been good but I appreciate that room is at a premium with the kitchen facilities which were excellent.

Nothing I didn’t like about the property I would recommend a small heater or radiator downstairs as that does get abit chilly on a early morning or afternoon but we just stuck a jumper on and we’re okay

Great host, great property, recommend

Beautiful property, cozy little snug, facilities has everything you need and more, bed super comfy, games was an added bonus we enjoyed playing after a busy day exploring the peaks. Our host Debbie was wonderful she was friendly, helpful and made our stay great, communicated with us with everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the location is great in accessing everything you need lovely restaurant next door to the location, was only a short drive away for us to access the peaks and all the small surrounding villages to explore. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Really comfortable and cute place to stay. It's really close to the bus station and main shops for bits and bobs. Would definitely stay here again

Cosy perfection in central Penrith

The accommodation is small but perfectly designed. It is newly refurbished and the kitchen has all you need to prepare your meals. Little touches like coffee, biscuits, books and games make you feel really welcome. Easy walk to/from the station.

Great super comfy place to stay

A really lovely comfortable place, nicely done up, comfy bed. I only stayed one night but wish I had stayed longer. Highly recommended, would go back any time.

Lovely little property tucked away in the centre of Penrith, perfect for a short stay as a couple who want a home away from home

No fault of the property but neighbouring pub was slightly loud however didn’t disturb our stay, ear plugs provided were a lovely touch though.

Perfect tucked away bolthole

Stylish immaculate and comfortable, great location close to the lakes and Eden valley, great information and recommendations for Penrith places to eat from our host. Parking was easy too.
