Nothing really.

I was in the Lake District for three days of walking, so I chose Penrith as my base. I went for this property because of its location, and it had a freezer for my ice packs, and good reviews. The apartment was perfect. It was clean, comfortable, and fairly spacious. It's in a great location for town centre services and near to the M6. I would stay there again.

A great location - so easy to get around, with all the shops and sights a short walk away. It is a warm and cosy apartment with lovely views and a very well-equipped kitchen.
The shower is very soft and hard to get the temperature right - either too hot or freezing cold! We found the bed too soft, but it is big and very well made up with lovely linen and comfy pillows.

Comfortable , warm, well equipped, centrally located, off street parking (for a small car)
Not really accessible - long and steep exposed stairs to top floor front door

Great location for a Lake District stay. Clean, comfortable, well appointed flat for two people with off street parking. Walkable to shops, restaurants, and pubs. There is a washer in the flat and access to a dryer in the garage-a must when traveling for a long time. Electric heaters functioned very well but not needed much during our stay. No trouble with the wifi. The flat was very clean inside and the outside grounds are tidy and well maintained. The first floor location is quiet and it is not on a main/busy/noisy street. I have stayed in Penrith many times and if I return I will definitely consider this same property. Darren, the owner, does not live on property but is very responsive via text.
Not much to fault really. Minor shower leak resulted in small puddle on the floor after each use but nothing to worry about. There is a long staircase to access the unit which could be an issue for some but was not a problem for us.

Smartly finished, cosy space with views across the town & to the fells. Really comfy bed and all the facilities you could need. The stairs were fine for me but would not be easy for people who are less mobile. Enjoyed my stay. No trouble with the garage but best take your time to plan your approach. :)

Unusual location at the top of the old rectory and the effective design inside the flat. Very convenient for the town centre. On site parking.

Convenient location with a pleasant view
As it was the heatwave we had to have windows open and there was a lot of traffic noise, it’s on a busy corner. The garage is a bit tricky to get into and you certainly need a small car.

All facilities needed
Slightly dated, tv awkward to watch from sofa and fortunately able bodied enough to manage 32 fire escape stairs to apartment. Should shoe this on website

Everything about my stay in The Eeyrie was wonderful. It was stylish but cosy and very well appointed for a much longer stay than I had.
The host, Darren was very obliging and helpful.
It was perfectly positioned to take advantage of Penrith and the amazing areas around it.

A great base for a stay in Penrith. The apartment spacious, comfortable and very well equipped for cooking. Checking in was very easy and the host Darren was very helpful with all my questions and requests. The bed and living room area were both very comfortable.
The apartment has a great view of the local surroundings and is located very close to the local shops and cafes. I felt that the stay was very good value overall.

This is a great apartment for a stay, it is really clean, comfortable and well equipped. The apartment has a great location and from here we're easily visited Pooley Bridge and Keswick. The host left us pantry goods and we found the information and recommendations provided really helpful. I would stay again.

Everything .... It was more than I expected. Had everything, well equipped, clean, ... Just perfect really. Would not hesitate to stay there again.
Perhaps blinds on bedroom window for privacy ... Otherwise there wasn't anything to not like.

Close to town centre, well equipped, comfortable.
The stairs. Don’t remember being warned about them when booking but there should definitely be a clear message that the apartment is two storeys up and accessed by an open external metal stairway.

Very clean, comfortable apartment. Location great for anyone working in the town centre.

Despite being cold when we arrived it warmed up quickly and stayed warm. The apartment had everything we needed and the bed was really comfy.
Although there was parking, it was quite a tricky space to negotiate into and out of. It was still very convenient though.

Quirky, but lovely old building kitted out really nicely. .
What's not to like? It's 2-3 minutes from town centre, and en route for the Drovers Festival.

This is a lovely apartment at the top of an old rectory. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, warm and with everything we needed for a week's stay, with the added bonus of glorious views over the Autumn hills surrounding Penrith. The host, Darren, was superhelpful and welcoming, (we had a van and kayaks that wouldn't fit in the garage space allocated to the flat, and he made it seem like no problem at all). The apartment is in a great location for walking into town but still quiet and peaceful. It's at the top of the house, and there are 34 stairs up an outside fire escape to navigate, so you need to be able to manage stairs, but they are well-lit and not at all slippy even in the wet weather we experienced!
All good.

Lovely apartment. Great location, just a few minutes walk into town. Very well equipped.
Nothing not to like, but access is via a metal staircase so not for the less mobile people.

little warning about steep external staircase could cause problems for some. i found the lack of upright dining table a little difficult

Clean, quiet, comfortable, we’ll equipped, & a host that was obviously environmentally aware. Excellent & informative welcome information folder.
There was nothing for us to dislike about the property.

very clean, amazing view from the living room window during sunset. comfortable bed and facilities.
bit of a steep climb up to the property. if you have a lot of luggage, might need a couple trips. this was very minor and didn’t bother me much at all

A great stay, very comfortable clean and tidy with all that you need to rest and recover from 30 odd hours on a plane and train from New Zealand. Nice and central, easy access to food and other shops. An easy 10-12 minute walk from the station. Sent Darren a couple of messages and he was very helpful and prompt with his reply.
The apartment (its a loft conversion) is reached by an exterior staircase, and if you've got heavy luggage it takes a bit of effort.
