About this apartment rental
The House: This is a beautiful property and it is located in a lovely quiet road just ten minutes drive from Clifden and 3 mins from Ballyconneely village. It’s lovely quiet road, great for an evening walk after a busy day or some fishing on the lake. It’s also only a 2 minute drive from the Derrigimlagh Discovery Point , where you can discover the history of Marconi and Alcock & Brown. Coral Beach is just ten minutes walk away with its unique coraline sand it is a favourite with wild swimmers who swim here on a daily basis. Also you are a short drive away from numerous sandy beaches, Dunloughan, Mannin, Coral Strand to name a few. Connemara Golf clubis about a 18 min drive away.
Keoghs Shop , pub and restaurant is just a 5 minute drive away in the village of Ballyconneely along with a playground and the great vegetarian/vegan cafe Sweet Nothings. If you enjoy fish, make sure to head to the Connemara Smokehouse & cafe at Bunowen Pier, and learn how this family tradition produces amazing seafood – we highly recommend the tuna!
If you are surfers, walkers, anglers or water sports enthusiasts (check out Real Adventures for more details. ) or just want a nice comfortable cottage where you can discover Connemara during the day and cosy up in the evenings this is the house for you.
Inside: This is a great bright house. Off the entrance hall you will find an open plan living/dining and kitchen room. The lovely country cottage kitchen has all mod cons, including a large freezer and dishwasher. It is perfect for cooking up a feast for the whole gang. The dining area is set in a wonderful area with a high ceiling offering views down to the sea. The living area has wonderful cosy couches for you to enjoy. Off the kitchen there is a large utility room with washer, dryer and an extra sink area – great for getting your days catch ready for cooking!
To the right of the main entrance you will find 5 large bedrooms – 4 double rooms all ensuite and 1 Single. There is also a family bathroom with a bath.
This is a really great house, in a great location. Perfect for a large family or two families together. Or if you are looking for a longer tranquil retreat this is perfect! The enclosed garden with electric gates makes it safe for the small children too.

We stayed in Trish's house over the October long weekend as part of a group and really enjoyed it. The house is in a fantastic location with views out over the sea and to the mountains and nearby places to eat like Keoghs and the Connemara Sands hotel. The house itself was very comfortable with 5 big bedrooms and a large cosy modern kitchen come dining/sitting area. Everywhere was spotless and the house was super warm at all times. Trish went out of her way to keep in touch and make sure everything was ok. I'd highly recommend staying here, you get the benefits of a private location but will all that Connemara offers nearby
