Welcome to **The Cove**, a cozy lakefront cottage on beautiful White Lake, just 45 minutes west of Ottawa and Kanata.
Spend your days swimming, paddling, fishing, relaxing by the water and enjoying evenings around your own private fire pit. The Cove is an easy Ottawa Valley getaway for couples and families looking for a traditional cottage experience without a long drive from the city.
### The Waterfront
The cottage sits on the north end of White Lake in a calm, shallow bay, with water approximately 4–6 feet deep in the swimming area. The gradual, shallow water makes it especially enjoyable for families with children.
Guests have access to our waterfront and beach area, dock and complimentary watercraft:
* 2 kayaks
* Canoe
* Pedal boat
* Life jackets
Bring your fishing gear — White Lake offers excellent fishing, with deeper water easily accessible through the narrows.
### The Cottage
The Cove sleeps up to 7 guests and includes:
* Wi-Fi
* Fully equipped kitchen
* BBQ
* Private fire pit
* Outdoor seating
* Lake views
* 2 bedrooms plus additional sleeping space
There is **no cleaning fee**. We simply ask guests to leave the cottage tidy, clean up after themselves and put away their dishes before departure.
### More Than Just the Lake
When you're ready for a break from the water, enjoy basketball, soccer, badminton, volleyball, ladder ball and other outdoor lawn games.
Nearby attractions include Waba Museum & Gardens, White Lake Park, Burnstown Beach and the public boat launch.
Restaurants, a convenience store, LCBO, gas, parks and beaches are only minutes away. Arnprior and Renfrew are approximately 15 minutes away for groceries, shopping and additional amenities.
### A Four-Season Getaway
White Lake isn't just for summer. Fall brings beautiful colours and quiet evenings by the fire, while winter activities in the area include snowmobiling, ice fishing when conditions permit, outdoor skating, and skiing or snowboarding at Mount Pakenham and Calabogie Peaks.
### Good to Know
Diamond Valley Cottage Rentals is a **shared 0.75-acre lakefront property with three separate homes**. The Cove is its own cottage, with its own BBQ and private fire pit. The waterfront, beach, dock and recreational amenities are shared.
The owners live on the property year-round, and another family residence is also located on the property. We respect our guests' privacy while maintaining a quiet, family-oriented environment.
**No parties or events.**
During peak summer, rentals are generally **Friday-to-Friday weekly stays**. Shorter stays are available during other periods and may occasionally become available during summer.

Nice little cottage, somewhat difficult to find from the road. Road to cottage has lots of potholes. Outside nice with BBQ, firepit and chairs. Cottage great for cooking, large table for eating, playing cards and board games. Easy to communicate with owners and check in.

We needed a comfortable place to stay for the weekend. The hosts were very accommodating with our arrival time, as it was an 8hr drive from home. The beautiful cottage on the lake was perfect. We look forward to visiting again.
