OKU Bodrum

Our stay at OKU Bodrum was easily one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with a relaxed, understated luxury that fits perfectly with the surroundings. Our suite was one of the highlights — spacious, thoughtfully designed, and with an incredible view over the Aegean. Waking up to that view every morning was special, but the sunsets were on another level. Sitting outside in the evening and watching the sun disappear over the water became one of our favorite parts of the stay. The staff were amazing throughout our visit. Everyone was genuinely welcoming, attentive, and helpful without ever making the service feel forced. You could tell there was a real effort to make guests feel comfortable and looked after. The facilities were excellent. The pool and beach areas are beautifully maintained, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the water is absolutely stunning — clear, calm, and beautiful to swim in. The entire property has a very intimate and relaxing feeling, which makes it easy to completely switch off. The food was another major highlight. We had some excellent meals at the hotel, and the quality of the ingredients, presentation, and overall dining experience were consistently impressive. Having dinner overlooking the sea and sunset made it even better. What really stood out about OKU was how everything came together — the architecture, interiors, views, food, service, music, atmosphere, beach, and attention to detail. Nothing felt overly flashy or commercial. It has a sense of quiet luxury and privacy that makes the experience feel much more personal. We travel and stay at many great hotels, and OKU Bodrum genuinely stands out as one of the best stays we’ve had. It’s the kind of place where you arrive planning to explore Bodrum and end up wanting to spend most of your time at the hotel. Beautiful property, incredible sunsets, amazing people, excellent food, and an unforgettable setting. We would absolutely come back.

My stay at OKO Hotel Bodrum was unfortunately very inconsistent. While the check-in experience was smooth and the front desk team were welcoming and professional, the overall service did not meet my expectations. The biggest disappointment was the service around the pool. The staff often seemed to lack hospitality training, and communication was difficult because most of them spoke very little English. Even simple requests became unnecessarily challenging. Another recurring issue was the payment process. Every time I wanted to pay my bill by the pool, the staff struggled to operate the payment terminal and had to restart the machine before completing the transaction. This caused unnecessary delays and gave the impression that the team had not been adequately trained. The bar service also needs significant improvement. The bartenders did not appear to be familiar with preparing some basic cocktails, and the drinks I received were inconsistent. One of the most unpleasant aspects of the stay was the number of cats around the pool and outdoor dining areas. They frequently approached guests during meals and, on several occasions, came onto chairs or very close to our table while we were eating. Better management of the outdoor dining area would make the experience much more comfortable. There were also a large number of bees around the pool and breakfast area. While I appreciate the beautiful greenery, the constant presence of bees made it difficult to relax outdoors and could be a safety concern, especially for guests who are allergic to bee stings. The hotel has a beautiful setting and potential, but it would greatly benefit from better staff training, improved communication, stronger food and beverage standards, and better management of the outdoor dining environment. I hope management addresses these issues, as they have a significant impact on the guest experience.
