Peaceful cottage vibe

A nice break from business, cottage vibe, a bit of a charm about it, friendly owners, was perfect for one to two people. Relaxing. Handy to have basic cooking stuff and tea coffee etc. lovely fresh white towels and shampoo and conditioner. They had some very warm blankets. Staff were attentive.

Bed duvet sheet was a bit worn and not very soft so if that was swapped out would be ideal.

Cute apartment to enjoy nature.

Cute apartment off the road in a secluded location. Chairs on grounds set up to enjoy the views of the rolling hills. Easy parking. Easy to find. Comfortable fold out couch/bed.

Long narrow driveway with no room to move if there is a car coming the opposite direction. The driveway is very pretty though with lots of gorgeous vegetation on either side.

Peaceful, basic and a little haven away from normal life.

The location was quiet and the outlook beautiful. It had everything we needed for a very reasonable price.

The location was fantastic. The property is surrounded by mountains and green fields with incredible views. There’s a really nice garden too

Very peaceful.

It was very quiet and the room looked the same as it did on the website. The view across the mountains was good, although we had to look through the trees at them. There was a large shower room and the kitchen area was small but had most things we needed. There were two seats and a table to sit and read at outside, in the view of the mountains, which in sunnier weather would have been fantastic.

Just a warning - our first impressions were not great as the front of the house (the hosts live next door) was a bit of a mess - there was a large container out front and tools/equipment everywhere - our hearts sank a little as we pulled up in the car. Once in the room, though, it was all good.

Practically placid stay with pets among plentiful plants

The studio style room is bigger than expected and has great facilities to prepare breakfast and a hygge kind of cosiness. There is a lovely forest garden to stroll through and a beautiful view of the Wicklow mountains too. Our host was great to chat to and provided directions to local attractions

Great country location - very remote. Beautiful and comfortable.

We wanted a weekend in the Country and that is what this property provides. Beautiful scenery.

We never met the host. They sent a relative, who gave us the key. It was a late arrival. But would have been nice for the host to have reached out to us the next day, but they never did.

Quiet, rural accommodation, just outside town. Very peaceful and great for a good night sleep. The host was very nice and had a lovely chat with her which I enjoyed very much. The place has everything you need, except for tv, which didn't bother me at all, but I know some people like it.

the hosts were very friendly. it was very clean and had all mod cons needed. The views were very nice and the forest garden was lovely.

The drive up was a bit daunting. The outside area and approach to the apartment could be improved. Inside the apartment, the sofa bed was not made up for us and it felt a little cold inside. Needed heaters on, but it was April after all.

Perfect countryside retreat

A great welcome from our host. Incredible views through the trees from the front door. Self- contained neat kitchen with everything you could wish for and fridge /freezer. It all made for a very happy stay.

Very clean, really compact with everything I needed

I arrived at night and I was unsure that I was at the right place because the road into the accommodation is very small (which is common in Ireland.) I was a bit worried had I driven in a farmer's field by accident and if I had, would I be able to get the car back out? That was unnerving for a few minutes. But as soon as I arrived someone came out to me and showed me around and when I called the number to ask for help with the door, someone came immediately. The room was nice and warm and I was offered extra heating if needed

Séjour en pleine nature

Un super Lodge au coeur d'un petit coin sauvage de Hackestown (à 30 mn de Carlow). Les hôtes étaient très sympathiques et bienveillants. Le lit très confortable, un peu moins pour le lit d'appoint. Le système de douche fonctionné très bien, salle de bain spacieuse. Coin cuisine pratique avec l'équipement nécéssaire. Idéal pour un retour à la nature en court séjour.

Pas de panneaux à l'entrée de la propriété, du coup un petit temps d"hésitation avant de s'engager dans le chemin !

C'était génial, autant le pays que le logement, nous avions tout ce que nous avions besoin et la propriétaire est quelqu'un de génial avec qui nous avons pu discuter même si notre anglais est déplorable !! Merci encore, je recommande à 1000% ! (It was fantastic, both the country and the accommodation. We had everything we needed, and the owner is a great person, with whom we were able to chat even though our English is terrible!! Thanks again, I recommend it 1000% !)

Gite sympa mais cadre à améliorer

Le logement est tout à fait confortable, propre et spacieux. Un rapport qualité/prix très correct. On y a pris notre repas du soir (micro-ondes + plaque induction) et notre petit déjeuner. Il y avait de la musique à disposition que nous n'avons pas utilisée.

Le gîte est au bout d'un étroit chemin d'environ 500m qui était un peu boueux en raison du mauvais temps. La seule petite maison à l'extrémité, et son environnement, est surprenante et peut même paraitre inquiétante. Nous nous sommes demandés si nous étions au bon endroit. Un cadre mieux entretenu serait plus accueillant et moins désorientant
