Location was great for my purposes as I was visiting family in the area. I liked the country atmosphere and property. The bed was very comfortable. Living area was spacious. Fenced dog area was great to let my dog run around in the mornings. This was a big bonus for me.
Roosters in the middle of the night didn't help for sleep the first night, but after that it was fine.

Quaint setting, well off the main road. The 2 “cottages” look to be the new and finished product of what was once an old barn. The surrounding scenery was fair and quiet, although the adjacent property just behind the cabins was a little “Sanford and Son-ish” with smaller dilapidated farm type buildings. Not unpleasant enough to really bother a couple of blue collar travelers like us. Although the inside of the cottage was fairly clean and comfortable, I felt that it lacked a certain “warmth” you’d typically associate with a quaint, country/mountain type getaway. This could be easily remedied, however, with a little more attention to interior ambiance, such as furniture and a few rugs with a warmer, more “out in the country” kind of escape in mind. All in all, a very decent, quiet and enjoyable place to get away for a few days and enjoy the surrounding country and mountain landscapes.
Nothing necessarily to dislike. Would definitely encourage the owners to “warm” the place up a little with an interior ambiance more conducive to a “cozy” stay.
