Beach House The Strand

The pictures shown for The Strand do represent the actual location. Great views. Quiet. You will see ships, boats and catamarans sailing by throughout the day. My kids sunbathed on the private beach area while I rested in comfort in the shade. The UV in Curacao is much higher than Chicago. The sun gets hot but the breeze was almost constant so we didn't sweat near as much. The Strand is fenced/gated and parking was never an issue. We picked up food at local groceries and cooked breakfast and sometime lunch. Full size refrigerator and kitchen with all the amenities. On sited Staff were pleasant and we had no issues. Staying at the Strand was the best choice for our family. There were still families with kids there but still it was a Quiet, Private and Restful location and loved it. Just far enough from the busier locations but close enough to walk into town. Prior to booking the Strand, we looked at resorts/hotels and visited some of those during our stay. The lack of privacy with anyone walking thru the resort and public walkways. You share resort beach with everyone who wants to go be there - Public Beach.

We forgot to take bug spray and needed it the first day. When you go out, try to get seating away from the areas near plants to avoid some of the normal bugs.

De locatie was in één woord geweldig: ’s ochtends wakker worden met het geluid van de golven en uitzicht op zee voelde als een dagelijkse traktatie, en ontbijten op het ruime balkon met eersteklas uitzicht was echt genieten. Alles wat je nodig hebt voor een comfortabel verblijf was aanwezig en de ligging is ideaal, midden in een levendige omgeving met leuke restaurants en barretjes, op slechts 14 minuten lopen van de pontjesbrug in Willemstad. Extra fijn was de eigen parkeerplaats op afgesloten terrein met bewaking van 18.00 tot 06.00 uur; daardoor konden we onze tieners met een gerust hart in het appartement laten om te gamen of Netflix te kijken, terwijl wij als ouders ook eens samen een avondje weg konden—wij komen zeker terug.
