Great location - walkable to the beach. Comfortable accommodation with some nice, homely features Comfy beds

Lack of/no cleaning products - so washing up liquid but no scourers/cloth, no dishwasher tablets, no kitchen towel. One cafetière broken but put away in cupboard, one put away with coffee granules in so had gone mouldy. 2 broken chairs in living room.

Lovely location, spacious and clean, good-sized house. With a little more attention to detail, this could be a really lovely holiday home.

Two of the dining chairs were broken, with one being broken to a dangerous extent - I narrowly avoided falling to the floor. A runner on the hard floor in the hallway, without any non-slip backing, nearly caused a serious accident when someone slipped on it as they reached the bottom of the stairs. The kitchen was full of odd pieces of equipment but lacked the basics such as a grill pan for each oven - the one grill pan was of limited use as the grill rack needed to be called into service as the only shelf for the other oven. Preparing a cooked breakfast for 8 people was really challenging without basic equipment. Insufficient linen was provided for 8 adults as we needed to use both sofa beds and couldn't find any linen for them. The key safe had not been maintained and seized up which nearly necessitated an emergency call to the property owner. Fortunately we were able to get it open and, having some WD40 in the car, lubricated it to make sure it didn't seize again. My daughter and the rest of the family were staying there for her wedding and contact via the owner's agent on Booking.com was very challenging. Two queries to the agent on booking.com in January (6 months before the booking) were ignored and they do not promote their customer service phone number, which is very difficult to find. It took me a considerable time before I managed to successfully make contact with the agent.

It was clean, had bedding and towels and felt like a family home which was just what we wanted.

The house was perfect for the 7 of us, so there was nothing we disliked.
