Millhams Meade, a Georgian house in Christchurch

Gorgeous house with big gardens right in the center of Christchurch. We were able to bring our dog too which made it very convenient. The gardens were fab for kids to play in and everything was in easy walking distance. Dina was lovely

Parking a little tricky with more than one car but manageable.

Wonderful character property with a large garden located right in the centre of Christchurch.

The parking restriction of only one free parking space next to the property is the only thing to potentially improve. With the property having 5 bedrooms, it is likely that multiple cars would be visiting the property and although there is a pay car park nearby it is an additional cost and inconvenience. The only other negative was that there was scaffolding against the side wall of the property, which would have been nice to have been informed prior to the visit. Otherwise an amazing place and we had a great weekend.

The location in the centre of Christchurch was just perfect. The house was beautiful-so spacious and elegant. Our family from the USA especially appreciated its history and all the old furniture and books . We all loved the garden,particularly the children. It could have been made for them with lots of places to explore and hide. They loved the river and the wild bits across the bridge. We loved having the painted and polished original floor boards which some of us remembered from Georgian houses of our childhood, the shutters and the window seats and fitted shelves and cupboards. The plumbing and the kitchen facilities worked perfectly and there was plenty of room for laundry both inside and out. Cleaning up was easy too and there was lots of space with chairs and tables for us to sit outside. The house was particularly well equipped and well stocked with everything we might have forgotten. Dina our host was so helpful, particularly when we arrived and departed when she arranged to have room for us to load and unload the cars on the road. She left flowers and goodies which I really appreciated! Thank you Dina for your kindness

But the parking was a problem. The garage was not easy to access and our second car(indispensable for 8 persons of which two were children) needed to be parked at some distance. If we had known how difficult the parking was going to be in advance we would have booked a place in a car park nearby in advance. However this was a minor inconvenience as the central location and availability of public transport meant we were not reliant on a car
