What's not to LOVE? The host meets you at the ferry and has a porter with donkeys to transport your luggage up to the property. Key entry -easy! Property is beautifully appointed and has everything one needs. Hosts are very accommodating. Very luxurious feel and very clean. We stayed 12 days and slept wonderfully! Hydra is our happy place -3rd visit!. Benches outside the property and one about 10 yards up the walk-great to sit in the evening and see night lights of town and harbor. We would buy a bottle of wine and sit and enjoy! Friendly town and most speak english beautifully. Favorite restaurants-Manna, The Traditional, Caprice, Veranda, Papagalos on harbor for great Pizza and people watching, Plakostroto, Souvlaki (5 euro sandwiches). ALl bakeries!! Fun bars are Spila Bar (good lunches, swim area))Hydronetta bar-after swimming just walk in swim suit and watch sunset and 1821 and Amalour bars. Two Beautiful Linen stores FETISH in middle of the horseshoe harbor and also next to the last store where ferry comes in. Hydra Home store has all necessities and easy to find grocery stores. We snorkeled at all the hydra beaches but our favorite for seeing fish was Vlichos beach. G & G island day tour-swim in coves etc loved!!!! There are many steps up to property but also a gradual walk route with fewer steps as well. We are returning next year!
