La Taverna del Leone

An excellent base for exploring the entire Amalfi Coast, bus stops are nearby, and it’s about a 40-minute walk to the center of Positano. The room was cozy with a comfortable bed and a stunning mountain view, plus a large terrace with a table and sun loungers. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. A wonderful stay—thank you!

Our only criticism was lack of air conditioning- in August but that’s on us to have checked first! Otherwise, we couldn’t fault anything especially the hospitality of the family who were wonderful And couldn’t do enough to make our stay wonderful. The food was also exceptional….. wonderful wonderful!

No air con!

Location is a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of Positano. With bus stop just steps away there is easy and cheap bus to Sorrento and Almalfi. Elizabeth has the bus timetable sorted and explained for you! Loved walking down to Positano of a morning in the cool with spectacular views. Easy downhill walk, fortunately can catch the bus up the hill! The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet with your own large terrace to unwind in after a busy day exploring. And if that is not enough, the onsite restaurant was delicious, and if you don’t want to dress for dinner, you can buy pizza, beer and wine to enjoy on your terrace!

Staff was friendly

Not great. We do not really eat sweet breakfasts and we got offered only crossaints and jam. No selection. Also room had no fridge which made it really difficult in this heat.
