Excellent cosy cabin in the forest close to Ruka Village.

The cabin was in a convenient location, it was beneficial to have a car in winter months although still walkable to the village but easier to drive if skiing for the day. It was warm and cozy with a host of amenities and features. Fit a family of 5 brilliantly with plenty of space and storage. Sauna was fabulous and had a brilliant sledging area off the driveway. Well laid out kitchen area, large dining table and centre fireplace. Hosts communication was excellent. We loved staying here for four nights and would recommend to anyone looking for a remote stay but still near the Village.

Nothing, we couldn't fault anything at all. We would return again.

Fantastic would definitely stay there again!

Location was perfect 10min drive from Ruka town! Nice area surrounded by forest and a few other cabins and the drive was great for sledging! Well stocked kitchen although couldn’t find tea towels anywhere! Great big fire to take off the chill and fully stocked shed which you were allowed to use the sledges and toboggans during the stay which was brilliant! It is a perfect cabin!

The downstairs double bedroom is a small double bed so we did sleep upstairs with the kids but it was only to sleep and not really an issue!

A great and cozy stay

A very charming little house nearby the Ruka ski resort. Surprisingly it was very warm in the house and very cosy. We really liked the dishes with the raindeers and there were plenty to do in the house as well. Very lovely!

Ihan hyvä, periaatteessa kaikki ok

Avara, lämmin, hyvät sängyt ja hyvät löylyt (sitten kun päästiin sinuiksi kiukaan kanssa). Keittiössä hyvin välineitä.

Yläkerrassa kävellessä alakertaan kuului aikamoinen natina. Äänieristys ei ihan paras mahdollinen

Hämähäkin seittejä roikkui kattohirsissä (pyyhimme ne pois, mitkä pistivät silmiimme). Takan edessä olevien listojen naulat ovat päässeet hieman nousemaan. Yhden naulan sain halolla naputeltua takaisin pohjaan, mutta muita en viitsinyt naputella, kun tuli sen verran sotkua halon kanssa työskennellessä.😌

Tunnelmallinen ja kodikas. Hyvin varusteltu, erityisesti keittiövälineet ja sängyt erinomaiset. Bonusta olivat pulkat ja pihan erinomainen pulkkamäki - lapset nauttivat!

Parvi on kevyt, pienikin liike ylhäällä tuntuu ja kuuluu alhaalla, osin myös naapurista. Meille ei isoa merkitystä koska kaikilla sama vuorokausirytmi, mutta tulisi ongelmaksi jos olisi eri rytmisiä seurueessa / naapurissa. Kuivauskaapin puute (oli tiedossa ettei ole, eli oma valinta, mutta olisi ollut tarpeen) hieman haastoi, mutta tehokkaalla kph lattialämmityksellä selvittiin.
