Riverside Retreat on Hindmarsh Island

Relax with the whole family at this tranquil holiday retreat on the Murray River. The homey spaces are equipped for everything you need for quality family time. Just over an hour from Adelaide, it's a wonderful weekender or holiday place to take it slow. Sleeps 11-12 people, with a large open plan living area or the large deck to hang out on and enjoy the complete relaxation of being on the water front. No fences with adjoining neighbours gives a sense of space and adds to the tranquility.

The courtyard entrance welcomes you into a large gallery space opening out into the 4 spacious bedrooms, the master with an ensuite bathroom. The bedroom configuration is a:
* A king sized bed in the master bedroom with an ensuite
* A king sized bed
* A double with a single trundle underneath
* A room with two singles and a double bottom bed with a single bunk above.
Fitting 11 people, but with a trundle bed for a 12th if required.

The house is nestled on the northern side of Hindmarsh Island; land of the Ngarrrindjeri people. On the southern side of Hindmarsh Island is the Coorong, this place is of enormous cultural significance. The river over looks a large channel of water with the Adelaide hills on the horizon.
The large open living and kitchen area has huge windows and lots of natural light onto the deck with amazing river front views over the terraced garden and lawns. Perfect for the those deck therapy moments, especially beautiful at sunset.

The kitchen is fully equipped for the culinary minded guests, all new appliances, a large granite island bench to cook up a feast. The large dining table fits 12 people. Alternatively, we have a list of local recommendations for restaurants in the area.

We want our guests to feel at home and have quality family time with; board games, books, wifi, hifi system, ducted heating/cooling and many spaces to lounge around in depending on the mood or weather.
The street is a no through road with houses only along the river side so is a quiet place with no fences, therefore respect for the neighbours is paramount. We don't allow parties at the property to maintain a harmonious relationship with the neighbours.

There is a jetty and boat ramp to enjoy the water, however we express upon our guests that upmost safety should be maintained with children around the river water, which is not deep, however visibility underwater is poor.
