I liked the style of the place. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the spa facilities were a nice bonus. The staff were very nice and mailed items we forgot at the property right away.

The location was kind of far from most of the places we wanted to go in Osaka. Also, I didn’t realize it’s by the red light district and I have young children.

“I didn’t do enough research beforehand and had no idea our accommodation was right next to Osaka’s red-light district (Tobita Shinchi area in Nishinari). Since I was traveling with my girlfriends, we felt uncomfortable walking around at night and ended up taking taxis every single time we went out. The neighborhood itself is pretty noisy—lots of drunk guys wandering the streets, shouting, having loud conversations, and just generally being rowdy as they pass by. It made the whole area feel chaotic and not very relaxing, especially as a group of women.
