Palazzo Valmarana

The building's facade is pure Andrea Palladio. The rest of the palazzo was sadly destroyed by Second World War bombings, and later restored. The second floor apartment is not their most elegant, but it is comfortable, architecturally pleasing and spacious. Light streams in from high windows. The kitchen/greatroom is well appointed. The location is perfect. There is an interesting museum in the basement you should ask to see. Although, there is no washing machine in this particular apartment, you can ask to use one in the palazzo's utility area. Be sure to introduce yourself to Manuel in the Palladio Trails office in the courtyard. He is an expert on Palladio's impact on our world and an excellent story teller.

The tiny bathroom is forlorn. The large tub is difficult for shorter people to access safely and takes up most of the space. There is no bidet.

Historical background of the Palazzo. The location to places of interest. Convenience to restaurants and cafes. Hosts were so lovely. The apartment was spotless. Large and airy.

It is about 25 minutes walking from the station not 12 minutes. The flat is large and has beautiful furniture. The bathroom needs DIY the bath is peeling off. The bed is very small for 2 people to sleep. The bedroom is very noisy at night as it is in front a restaurant which opens until very late. The door as small for luggage to go in and there are quite few stairs if you have luggage. We stayed 2 nights nobody cleaned our room..
