It was wonderful to be immersed in the village and learn about the ‘real’ Bali. Bagus and his family are very kind and welcoming. The accommodation is very clean, beautiful and surrounded by nature. It is also a 2 minute walk from a local convenience store.

While a kettle is generously provided, the room does not contain a fridge so plan meals accordingly. Overall good value for money.

The property is so well designed, like a traditional Balinese house. Bagust and his familly are really good people. It was very clean, the bathroom was new, the natural light from windows of the room was so amazing to have during the day. The room was very spacious with a large patio and balcony. It is close to so many good restaurants, café etc Walking distance to stores. If you have a motorcycle it’s even better because it’s close to the center of ubud.

So it’s not about what I didn’t like it was mostly about the noise of the traffic. There’s a very busy road in the front of the property. The windows and the door are not soundproof. So if you are a light sleeper this might not be for you. You can alway wear some earbuds, it helped me.

Bagus and his father truly love opening their compound to visitors as family and deeply sharing the Balinese way of living life....including invitations to ceremonies. The shiwer is great!

Staying with Bagus and his family was an absolute pleasure! Since the moment I arrived there they were so warm and welcoming with me. The first day Bagus took me to getting to know around, explaining everything and being really patience with me haha he showed me the places that I must visit in line with what I had as my objective on this trip, witch was getting to know more of the balinese culture and getting in touch with nature. They even invited me to a ceremony that I will always rembember and be thankful for because in other circumstances it would have been impossible to be present in such a beautiful moment with them. The room was amazing, had everything you need to be comfortable and having your own privacy for a really good price. When you arrive you will see towels, a closet, air conditioner, a place to sit down, a lot of windows and you even have your own bathroom (its outside the room tho) The experience was amazing, I truly recommend staying with them because for sure you will have a lovely staying there. Im grateful for meeting Bagus and his family and if I ever come back definitely this will be the place that Im going to stay.
