Ok price, although not good value compared to the other larger rooms. All of my basic needs were met and the room was cleaned daily. Temperature was just right and there were very few noise issues. Plenty of free parking.
The floor was sloped so I always felt a little drunk and my keys would slide off the table. Didn't encounter any staff until the last day. No breakfast or dinner facilities at the time of year that I visited (October).

Very pleasant place to stay. Good access to town, easy check-in. Comfortable.

The bed was comfortable, the shower was quite good. It was quiet, and the location was good.
This was very basic accommodation - which they make no secret of. Simple rooms, no breakfast, a shared lounge (with no sink or bathroom), not staffed. Dated, tired but clean. I personally thought it was over-priced for what you got, but everything in Kirkwall is expensive.
Probably one of the most inconvenient aspects was no left luggage facility. Especially on a Sunday (where left luggage places aren't really open) this was frustrating, especially since the shared lounge area had no bathroom, so you couldn't even really hang around there.
