Nicely decorated and spacious

A little short on cutlery and crockery but other than that very well equipped

The Location was good for us as it was close / walkable to relatives that we were visiting. The rooms are, with one exception, a very good size and nicely furnished and decorated. It feels like a home. Access to streaming services was liked by younger members. A nice Log burner made it welcoming for later arrivals. We were early and able to get in before 3 after requesting which was appreciated. Information provided was good and timely

We rented the house and annex - so potentially 8 people (we were actually 6 due to one couple cancel due to travel difficulties). We asked if our elderly parents could visit for a big meal and that was supported, so we might have been 10 people for a meal, although advised a bit of a squeeze for 10. The exception to the positive comment about rooms is the dining room. This is in the Conservatory - it was small for 8 (and certainly woulnt have supported 10). It was also cold (the heating didnt stay on and we did call about that with no solution) and dark. More lighting is needed. Although. tere was a lot of good equipment in the kitchen, some of the fundamental simple things were in short supply. Cutlery, mugs, plates and bowls were limited to 8 settings, meaning you needed to wash up breakfast in order to have eg. soup (plates/ bowls/ spoons) at lunchtime. Thern again for the evening. There was plenty of cupboard space - so Its really easy to acquire simple cutlery and crockery for next to no cost from charity shops.. (or Ikea). A small cost considering we paid over £1100 for 3 nights accomodation. The dishwasher is a smaller, narrow one and was full after each meal. There is space to go for a standard size one.
